Parth and Vibha?! Nooo!! I like my Parth-Siyali ship

Anyway, I genuinely feel bad for Siyali. She was the one who truly dreamed of Warrior High..it sucks that she gave it up for...Utkarsh! He's seriously my least favorite character right now. Nothing wrong against guys who cry easily but this guy is just so...idk, he's more of a sidelines kind of a guy. Or maybe I am just too conflicted about him. On one hand I like how he knows his strengths and limits, that some people are just not cut out for bigger and greater things. He wants to stick to the basics that he knows, living an ordinary life because that's the only life he is comfortable in. It's not like he had tried to drag Siyali into it as well despite confessing it again and again that he can't live without her. He wants her to go ahead and do great in life. But then again, the fact that right now his character is the only one who seems so conveniently placed in Warrior High, it kind of makes me tick. I hope he has some great passion or talent and Warrior High does bring out the Warrior in him because the way I see it, this guy needs crutches to walk and Warrior High is a place which shows no mercy to weaklings.

Parth's scenes with his mother make my heart melt. They have such a lovely mother-son relationship. He's a guy who is always two step away from bursting in anger but he's such a child in front of his mother. There's some beauty in seeing a 6 feet kinda guy leaning down to hug his mother, trying to hide himself away in those arms.

(No Parth and Vibha please T_T)

Got some interesting dynamics of Warrior High at the station itself. There's definitely a hierarchy there, even amongst the non-scholarship students. The cool gang who rule the school, the minions, the people who are getting ruled over, and definitely the scholarship students who are always gonna be an easy target for them.

This bimbo/vamp/queen bee...😆 Typical hot boy chaser laging. And the hot boy being all controlled by his hormones xD The scene in the car was nicely shot. Sid is defo a womanizer, as had been hinted in the promo itself. But wasn't that lady older than him? Chalo..ye bhi sahi hai. Queen Bee said that Sid likes perfection, at least in the matter of girls. Question remains what's gonna be the perfect one for him?

The guy who picked Niti up...I be looking forward to him. He just picked her up and screamed while running towards the train. Oh and the khamakha ka DDLJ scene between Utkarsh and Queen Bee. Utkarsh's expressions were hilarious like, "What the hell woman?! Who are you?!" 🤣 Niti is confident enough to say that it's nearly impossible to make her cry but it's only natural for her to have an inferiority complex when it comes to her height. It could be seen that she wasn't comfortable with being picked up like a toddler like that. Promo shows Sid treating her like the same. She is a girl, probably 16 or 17, right? Just because her outwards appearance resembles that of a primary schooler, doesn't mean that's what her nature is. She likes the things girls like, she wants the things girls want, she wishes to be treated with love and respect and adoration not based on how she looks but on what she is. The orphanage was a different world. There she had her own position intact, with the fellow kids and the teachers/supervisors. Those people knew better than to treat her bad just based on her dwarf body. But Warrior High? That place reeks of superficiality, despite the emphasis on "talent" and "merit". C'mon, it ain't an ideal place. Put in so many people who come from all kinds of troubled, normal, broken, perfect backgrounds and that place is bound to be a battlefield everyday, phir bhale name Warrior High ho ya nahin.

P.S - The BEST shot in the entire episode was the trio hug. I loved the way Utkarsh leaned down and hid his face on Siyali's shoulder while she clutched his arm which was around her and Niti hugging her from the other side as Siyali cradled her head. These three are so strong, like a one unit. Of course it kills them to be apart from each other. Siyali's intentions were noble and she was putting a brave front for them but the scene in the bathroom was evident that she will die every day that she won't spend with them.

OKAY.

I don't know what to say about Veebha and Parth except that I'd rather have her as his mentor or something. Does she need to be his love interest? I don't think so. If she was a random older woman instead of his TEACHER, then fine. I wouldn't mind. But no teacher-student relationships please! It's just weird.

I do feel like you're right that Utkarsh needs the support to get by, but without Siyali there I think he'll really have to stand up on his own. He's so used to the ordinary, simple life of the orphanage, I think by going to Warrior High he'll become his own person. And I do like Utkarsh, he's not fake, as in he cries when he wants and he's open with his feelings, I love how he wants Siyali to do well and accepts what she wants. The only thing I'd say is can he have some talent? Like something?

And YAY. I just loved this episode. It was so great and nicely presented. We got a glimpse of people, and a glimpse of potential relationships {not just romantic}. I loved how there was subtly in the cliques shown at Warrior High, like you said the popular kids, the jocks, the nerds etc. It just makes the show have a depth of realism, even if its fictional realism,... if that makes sense.

The scene of Niti and that guy was just hilarious. At first I was like 'you do not just simply pick up someone without their permission' but now I'm just like, well if he didn't help her she'd be left behind... but I did find it funny how his mouth was just open throughout that. Hehehe, he seems like an interesting character.

OH THE QUEEN BEE. I was like W*F why are you holding Utkarsh's hand? Haha, I bet he was thinking the same! HAHA, I loved that scene. Funny scene of the day, that is!

Ah.

This show.

Can I just say, thank god MTV has a school based show that shows students?

PS. How awesome are their uniforms? I always loved uniforms, just makes it look so cool. Sigh. I miss being 16 haha

Utkarsh does seem like he was contented to be in the orphanage and then take each day as it comes, he didn't want WH at all. But he got it, he seems like a sensitive guy which is fine but his confusing nature might make him a reason for bullying in the school. But I can see him taking charge and developing a strong character.
I love the trio, they are such a good unit. And I don't think I want to see Parth and Veebha 😆
ps awesome post😆

Utkarsh could've been really problematic because he easily could've emotionally blackmailed Siyali into ditching her dream for Warrior HIgh. He likes his orphanage life because everything is familiar and predictable. There are people like that who aren't too eager on getting changed or enthusiastic about stepping up to make a change. It's not like they want others to do it for them but just that they want to be left to their own devices. Utkarsh did well by not stopping Siyali and showed his side of selflessness when he said he'd be happily cheering on Siyali as she achieves her dream, just that he doesn't want to burden his weight as well. I think this was a factor which made Siyali give up her dream for Utkarsh's sake. I do hope he steps up in Warrior High and the inevitable falls would lead him to become a stronger personality...else he's more like a dead weight.

Nooo! No Parth and Vibha for me...student-teacher relationships confuse me xD

Teacher-Student relationships confuse me, I've come to this conclusion. I get confused about such ships. Because on one hand it's all, "BUT HE/SHE IS A TEACHER!!!!" and it's weird and wrong and ewww! But then on the other there's this whole, "Love happens. They get each other." argument and I'm all torn and confused and nooo! I don't want a teacher-student romantic relationship. It's weird, it's messy, it's painful, and Indian dramas don't have it in them to justify them or make them something rootable. SO yeah...there goes my argument against Vibha-Parth. A random older woman tou even I wouldn't have minded but please..no student-teacher one.

I haven't reached a conclusion on Utkarsh yet. I don't dislike him but he's not my fav either. Let's see how he copes with the real Warrior High stuff. Because he seems to be the vulnerable kind, he'd easily get affected. I just hope he has it in himself to get back on track and hopefully see his life beyond Siyali. Also for Siyali to refrain from shouldering his burdens as well as hers. He did show an interest in arts so hopefully he'll have a talent for himself..

Niti is a riot. I love this girl. She's has that spunk but a touch of reality as well with her barely visible issues. She doesn't let the things she has no control over affect her but there are times she gets the reality check that she isn't what society considers normal. Plus she has all these abandonment issues. That's one heck of a complex character and Juhi Aslam plays her very well. I just hope she isn't reduced to a comic relief because that's massive potential there. ANd the guy became instant love for me! He just picked her up, screamed, and ran for the train. Once there, he just put her down, didn't pay attention to her tantrum and went his own way. I do hope he becomes her friend..nothing romantic but a friend. Lol, we are trying too hard to find romantic angles despite getting no hints xD

Uniforms are love! I loved them when I saw the insta pics of them! the skirt specially...I like the rough look more, when Siyali was running outside with her open button shirt and unbuttoned blazer..would love to see the Warriors handling their uniforms casually like this when not in class..

It feels so good to see ya here, Mais! :D

Right now, the show seems quite good. So looking forward to the upcoming episodes.
I'd have said more about today's episode but due to lack of time, I got to go. Btw, you penned down everything so beautifully that I can't even. <3 I'm such a fan of your writing tbh.

oooh! Always nice to see old faces! :D

Despite some obvious shakiness in the premise, the show is managing to grip audience. the pace is nice, the characters intriguing, the whole set up of a battlefield like school interesting. Enjoying it so far..let's see how long does it go on for! 😃
