I really don't think that's the case. Raj even told Rohan that he was there in the room he didn't want to leave her there. But before he could say anything further, he was cut short by Rohan
We will have to wait and watch though...

No, you could be right actually. Before SD hugged Raj, I think Preet was possibly about to tell him that she was being rude to him on purpose to throw Chandar off.

It's sorta obvious. Preet didn't tell Raj about her plan until yesterday. So it wasn't any plan of hers. From how hurt Raj was afterwards when Preet was accusing him, it wasn't his plan either.

But we still don't know for sure what happened in the room.
Raj told Rohan in so many words that he didn't want to leave Preet in that room.
As soon as Preet was discharged and came home, she told herself that she needs to talk to Raj about whatever's happening.
And wasn't her plan?
Raj specifically asked her why she accused Rohan of misbehaving with Simmi and she replied to that.
The conversation about the room has never taken place.
So we still don't know for sure. Yet.

Honestly, I just think it's like that scene where drunk RajPreet ended up hugging and then woke up in each other's arms, after which Preet smiled and Raj wasn't being so toxic, making it look like something significant happened off screen but really it didn't.

I don't know why you mention this again.
It was pretty clear what happened between them. Preet smiled at him because she thought he wouldn't marry Sakshi after he told about his feelings to her.
But what does that have to with this when Raj himself told Rohan that he didn't want to leave Preet in that room?

In case you missed it. I sometimes come back to a thread and see something that I didn't see before.

Well, some of us thought she was smiling for another reason which we thought would be revealed to us later. The same way you believe Preet told Raj to save SD over her.
