I guess we'll never really know. Maybe it's a bit of both? Maybe she strongly desired Jai and labelled it love (as a lot of people do) but him choosing Amba hurt her ego more than her heart.

Hey but isn't it weird that no one has any issues with Mohini being married at least twice before. Men like Jagan and Harjeet who support patriarchy and are regressive in their thinking found it okay to marry Mohini despite her not being a virgin. To have an affair with is one thing but to marry her is another.

I do not support these views but it makes you wonder. What the cvs are exactly showing? Most shows have a very regressive attitude towards women, especially those whose husbands ended up leaving them. But in this show Mohini found at least two men who were willing to marry her, despite her past. No questions asked. One of them actually married her and she has the status of his wife, even more than his legally weded wife. Her kids stay comfortably in his house.

Amba almost got married to Jai.

Amba had no issues finding a groom for Simmi, despite Amba having no money or power. One turned out to be a jerk and the other one we never saw but still.

This show is kind of progressive in that sense.

Wait, did Jagan know that Mohini was married prior? I'm sure he didn't. He didn't know about her having children either. Manu was the one who told him about Mohini's past marriages just when he was about to marry her.

As for Harjeet, I've always found him a little more stupid than Jagan. Mohini was able to use his hatred of the Pawanias to her advantage and twisted his mind so much that by the time she introduced him to her children, he didn't care.
