One thing for sure, my family is not gonna let her watch waaris from now on. I was really shocked when my bua said she like all this. ...and that she thinks domestic violence is romantic! 🤢.

Anyone who's had a bad experience with a possessive/abusive man would understand that they are not romantic.
I'm guessing your aunt isn't married?

Once (if) she gets married, she'll understand.

Didi, I totally get your aunt 's perspective... Even I love that kind of tracks... (please no chappals)... But our kind of girls find tv serial World different from how we would like to be treated... Onscreen always after misunderstandings clear the husband would treat the wife like a princess and try a number of things to make her happy and fight against the whole world for her... But in reality if something like that happens, I will call the police... Onscreen I love to see that kind of tracks but reality would be different as the girl will get hurt in these types of situations...

Don't worry Megha . I wont throw chappals on you. Hmm... well I didn't know about that. I find this tracks repulsive, cause I thing this might have a wrong impact on the viewer. And if they are young girls. They might get the wrong idea ...
Well that's my point of view. 😆. That's why I was worried for her. But why you find this track interesting? Don't get me wrong I'm not judging you. I just wanted to know😳😆.

I agree with Preeti. Not all viewers can differentiate between reality and fiction, especially impressionable young girls. And then there are the women who get ideas of how to torture their bahus by watching these TV serials (yes, this actually does happen).

I know that's why I don't like this kind of track. I thought waaris was different and when I read about the show, thought this might change some of people mind set, but waaris disappointed me with this track. They also only care about the TRPs.

Megha the thing is, as long as you know this is wrong it's fine. But I still find this repulsive because it might lead young girls believing that love is abuse. Love means a guy forcibly kissing her or forcing her to do things. Because our Bollywood heroes are stalkers and TV mls are abusive husbands who love to man handle their girls. And that is what is wrong.
