Had found the show interesting at inception and then my attention frittered off and rediscovered it post leap and have been finding it delectable.

I personally didn't find Raj touching Manu out of bounds, as much as I was holding my breath during the scene. For him, she is his and he knows that she cares for him as well- how much and how exactly is foggy for him too. It's the first time he went physical to this extent. The poor guy needs validation for his own feelings and she is the only person who can do that. I wouldn't want him to force himself again on her though, but as I see the characters, she'll be disengaged even if he just stands towering with no space between them. He doesn't have to do much more. That soft blow (as in breath... haha) at her face yesterday, threw her off balance.

He is in a way trying to reassure himself that this girl who goes strutting around like a guy is his girl. He wants her to realise that it pains him when others touch her. His possessiveness is terribly charming and legitimate too in this unique situation. His situation is just as tough as hers. So, it's a potpourrie of all that that we see in his actions.

Hope the writing proceeds just as well in the episodes that continue.

I completely agree with you Uma2010, Raj really tried to convince himself to forget Manu until he felt that his feelings were far too much to be contained.

This is going to repeat once the truth is out. He is going to force her to accept the relationship, that she is his wife. This time though he is going to take more authority on her... Better than a leap though...

So true. It's going to be like their newlywed days again where he used to manhandle her and pinch her wounds.

Even when they were not married he couldn't keep his hands off her... Now they are married... In madhubala there was this scene when fl and ml split up because of the ml's betrayal... Then he turned around and decided that he wanted her... So he dragged her back into his home and room...

Let's put it this way... If Raj forces Preet to stay and she had already tried to go... Because of self respect... Then we can have our old sherni back... Then Raj can work hard for her forgiveness... This is the best choice as fl and ml have to be seen together and there will be no leap... Thought of another leap makes me feel sick... Though the typical pregnancy track will be welcomed if Preet's daughter will be like a version of mannu,who returns to gaguwal when she is seven years or something by lying to her mother, so that she can make everybody who insulted her mother pay up... She can be her mother's waaris...

@bold
That would be good but then there would be another leap for the daughter to grow up and then it would be the same old stereotypes.

I don't want Preet to leave bh, cause it is so regular and stupid... And I can't swear off Rajpreet romance... They can fight against each other for some time and then together against Jagan or Harjeet... Or he can encourage her to study... Get a career...

It'll go down a typical route anyway because there's nothing new to show in such a situation. This 'leaving' and 'contract' is a tried and tested formula, and will either end in separation and likely pregnancy or Preet will leave but Raj will drag her back.
I'm not sure I can stomach the romance without Raj apologising for his mistreatment of her and working hard to get her forgiveness. The first thing that needs to return is the trust. Trust is imperative to all relationships, especially that of husband-wife.
