Vikram goes to the hospital and gets his blood sample. In the DNA section, he asks that when Vedika came for her abortion (though Sush prevented it), did they take the baby's fluid sample for sonography? The nurse says yes, but to do a DNA test they also need the mother's sample. Vikram takes out Ved's blood sample and gives it. The test reports are to be collected the next morning.
Vasudha, Vedant, Nani and Shalini are praying. As it ends, Vedant is leaving to go meet Aarti. Vasu gives him a Hanuman Chalisa to hand over to Sandhya as she used to read it at home. He says that he misunderstood Vasu, that he is sorry, he was an idiot. She says, just his saying all this is like a ray of happiness in her dark life. He touches her feet and leaves.
But there is a heavy traffic jam, and he gets delayed by an hour. Aarti is waiting at a restaurant. She thinks of calling him, then decides against it, as she has been asked not to give away her number. When he finally arrives, a waiter tells him she left 20 minutes ago. Vedant looks at the Hanuman Chalisa and prays to Him to help him.
Vedika and Sush reach the mansion. Vasu is shocked to see Ved in this state. Sush asks her not to pretend she doesn't know what her husband is capable of. Ved tells her how Vikram tried to force himself on her the previous night. Vasu says (or maybe Sush, don't remember clearly) that he seems to be going mad. Vedika says its no such thing, he must have some reason to do all this. Vasu sees the cut on Ved's arm and starts wondering.
When Sush reaches home much later, his mother asked where he was all night. He says he was with Vedika as she was in trouble. Uttara says it isnt Vedika who is in trouble, she is trouble.😉 A girl who drives apart mother and son, who keeps him away all night and stays away herself all night….he knows what he must think. Sush is left helpless and silent.
Later, sitting in the study, she hits upon the explanation. She calls VIkram and asks him if he is at the police HQ. He says he is just going there, but he has some urgent work before that. Her belief is confirmed. She follows him to the hospital and calls out to him. Coming towards him, she asks if he was trying to hide his face, and slaps him. Then follows a lecture about him alienating himself more than anyone and that he is in a worse state than Vedika now. Vikram sits down suddenly ans says piteously that he doesn't know what comes over him, that he is losing control. Vasu takes pity and says she is willing to help him. He takes her hands in gratitude and says he will change the direction of his life right now. Then he leaves. The next moment the nurse comes and tells Vasu that he took the report but forgot to collect the receipt. Vasu is stupefied—"Took the report?"😕😆
Inside his van, Vikram smirks as he reads that the child is confirmed to be his. Now, he says, Uttara will know the truth, and not only change Vedika's destiny but also her husband.
