| Smriti Irani is an ardent Shiv bhakt Smriti Irani's third serial Mere Apne went on air on November 12 at 10.00 p.m on 9x. Here she introduced the main lead Vinod Khanna, who made his debut on TV as Kashinath Pandey, by having him performing Shiv Puja. This is not the first time that a lead actor in her serial has made an entry doing Shiv Puja. She did this in Virrudh also with her character Vasudha. Smriti tells us, "I'm an ardent Shiv bhakt and whatever I'm today is because of Shivji's blessings so I have Shiv Puja in my serials. I am sure Mere Apne will become popular." The actress goes on to add, "Recently on my husband Zubin's birthday we went to Mahakaleshwar temple, Ujjain. It was thanksgiving visit as I had made a mannat regarding Zubin's eye-problem which was fulfilled. We did a small puja over there too." Apart from Smriti, Akash Deep Saigal and Divyanka Tripathi are also big Shiv bhakts. |
