Smriti Irani's Virrudh has been surrounded by controversies ever since it went on air. This has irked Smriti to no end. "There are people who have been trying to pull down the serial time and again. Whenever there has been good news about the serial some negative story or the other about it is doing the rounds, be it low TRPs or wrong news that it's going off air," says a disgruntled actress on the show as Smriti was not willing to talk about it. Now Sony's Executive Vice President and Business Head, Albert Almeida, too has clarified things in wake of news that Ekta's serial would replace Virrudh soon. "That is not true. All these are baseless rumours. The show is doing well and Ekta's show will also be aired soon, but in another time slot." Rumours are that Smriti is now negotiating to dub Virrudh in Tamil and other regional languages for a television network in South India. |
