Sangeeta Ghosh to make her debut on stage, opposite Kiran Karmarkar

Sangeeta Ghosh who is currently seen in Viraasat is set to debut in theatre soon. The actress will be doing a comedy play opposite Kiran Karmarkar which will be directed by Baba Sawat and produced by Sahkar Theatre.

The two-hour Hindi comedy play will be a situational comedy revolving around a simple, middle class loving couple and their troubled life. The play will be staged in July in Mumbai.

Sangeeta has been getting offers for theatre for two years but has been rejecting most of them as she was busy doing television.

However, Sangeeta she refused to divulge any details about the play. She said, "I cannot speak about the play yet. Let me start working and then I will talk about it. I hope it works out fine. For now I am busy shooting for Viraasat."

This is the first time that Sangeeta will be paired opposite Kiran Karmarkar.

Says Kiran Karmarkar who, it seems, wants to get into fulltime comedy with Comedy Circus and his new comedy play, "I have read the script and will soon start the rehearsals. Sangeeta and I play husband wife in the light hearted comedy play. I am really looking forward to this play which I am sure will be good fun."
