I liked Karna too earlier, even now I like some of his qualities but my problem is his over glorification. The novels like Karna's wife only add to these, they show him like epitome of sacrifice

Forget other things Karna even escaped when Gandharva's attacked them during Gosala Yatra leaving Duryodhan to die. I think Duryodhan was much better a friend to him than he was to Duryodhan.(Not saying he was betraying Duryodhan)

But IIRC when Duryodhan gets to know in SPMB, he feels betrayed and calls Karna SutaPutra etc. It showed like he started hating him, so how come he then went for last rites?

This was the reason why I thought that Duryodhan in SPMB was only using Karna unlike Duryodhan of BRC who actually took Karna as his friend

Btw in SPK, Pandavas except Arjun got to know about Karan’s identity before his death (I think they wasted 2-3 episodes in that😆) and it took them 4 episodes to reach Arjun who was fighting with karna to tell the truth but Tab teer kamane se nikal chuka tha🤪

I think he was a Commissioner but if you remember properly he would have been DIG, there was another DCP then who called Shamsher Singh as sir

Later he got demoted as DCP.

I don't think his character was different but he wasn't comical in the first appearance as became when he became regular. Maybe he wanted to be more on screen

ACP ka I didn't remember so only two promotions in a team which had 100% track record. Although I think Virendra(Ashutosh Gowarikar's character) was also shown to have got promoted when he left

There was another unnamed DCP played by Surendar Pal , an unnamed DIG , and Andother DIG who promotes Acp in ep 6

Actually in Mahabharata the last rites weren't done during the war. The bodies remained in battlefield, it was after the end of the war(also death of Duryodhan,) finally the last rites was planned in StriParva

Here Duryodhan never gets to know that Karna was Kunti's son. Pandavas get to know after the war in StriParva

Then Pandavas get to know about him being Kunti's son and do his last rites. There can be no one else to do anyway

Only SriKrishna showed this actual occurrence. They also showed Lakshman and Abhimanyu war and former being killed which made Duryodhan go berserk

What makes me laugh is that if they are showing his last rites on night 17, no reason of conflict between Duryodhan and Pandavas then no one but his sons should have done it, 3 of his sons died on day 18(Susena, Chitrasena and I think Satyasena)

And here Duryodhan pleads all the Pandavas, Krishna And Draupadi to cure Karna. He says if Draupadi still wants to wash her hair, she can use his blood but cure Karna. Creepily funny to the core

See I know Duryodhan was a genuine friend of Karna. But at the end of the day he was Karna's Overlord. He might have kept relation with Karna as an equal but everyone knew Duryodhan's position was higher.

The way SPK made him an obsessive fan of Karna was very demeaning.

And I really can't believe I was feeling bad for character assassination of someone like Duryodhan and there I was.
