Arun (Vaani Rani's Surya) in Chandralekha

Our very own Arun (VR Surya) 👏👏 👏is entering in another serial Chandralekha which airs at 2 p.m, every Monday to Saturday on Sun TV. Yesteryear serial actors such as Meenakumari (AVM's Nimmathi, Vairanenjam, Naanayam, Magal), Rishi (Vijay TV's Nee Naan Aval) and Saakshi Siva (Anandham, Sorgam, Kalasam) are also in the serial.

Chandralekha is the story of two girls Chandra and Lekha who are mixed up at birth. Lekha's biological mother Meena (Meenakumari) is the only one who knows the truth, along with the hospital nurse who delivered Lekha. Chandra grows up with Azhagu (Rishi) and Meena who are in the middle class and lead a simple life while Lekha leads a lavish life with businessman Ashokkumar (Saakshi Siva) and his socialite wife Vasundhara Devi. Chandra grows up to be a responsible girl and a reporter working in Penaa Munai Pathirikai and shares a close bond with Azhagu while Lekha is pampered by both parents and turns into a spoilt brat. At the start Meena emotionally rejects Chandra but soon grows to love her after Chandra saves her from an accident.

The paths of Chandra and Lekha and their families cross when a grown up Lekha hits Meena on the middle of the road and commits other offenses and escaping from them, to prove that she can do anything as long she has money. This is soon known by Chandra who decides to seek justice for Meena. Meena however is reluctant to pursue the matter out of love for her daughter Lekha. When the parents of Chandra and Lekha unexpectedly meet after Lekha's suicide attempt, Chandra and Lekha learn that Meena is the adoptive sister of Ashokkumar, and that Vasundhara had driven out Meena from Ashok's house twenty years ago. Now Chandra is desperate for her mother to gain rights as a daughter and a share in Ashok's parents' money. To put an end to this, Meena considers telling Vasundhara the truth of the birth mix-up. What will happen next??

We do not know Arun's role in Chandralekha yet, but according to its Facebook page, Arun is shown to be appearing in today's episode (5th Jan)! 😃
