I don't like saravanan sitting at home and contemplating business ideas to boost his father. He is an engineer and so is Gautham why can't they show these two going out for interviews and getting suitable jobs related to their profession. This will also highlight the stark differences between the boys where Gautam and Saravanan are capable of getting professional jobs on their own, independent, strong, self sufficient and whereas Surya is always at the mercy of others. This is the first time I felt Rani Ma selfish when she has been such an exemplary character so far. First of all doing business is Saamy's thing, Sarvanan supposedly academically brilliant graduated top of his class he should apply what he learned if he wants to join business later on then that his choice but why are they showing Saravanan a quitter like Surya. Surya studied law but doesn't want to practice it because he is useless but Saravanan had a good job in Calcutta so he was working and was successful why has he stopped now. Rani and Saamy are throwing their kids under the bus because of their own insecurities when it was their own choice to not do anything for decades but now when their kids are grown up they are making choices for them which is not in their best interest. Saravanan should speak up and say I am going to get a suitable job which suits his education and Thenu should mention her schooling how she will be affected if they all move away. Eventhough i can sympathize at Rani's change I don't like seeing her this way, she is not about me me me, she puts others first and she has not once considered how this affects the children. Sarvanan and Thenu don't say anything because they are afraid to hurt her which is nice to see in a way because children should take care of their parents but running is not in anyone best interest. They are only proving Ananconda patty right that Rani and Saamy don't have the courage to stand and fight their battles and they can be pushed around like a volleyball.
Right now no one is acting the good parent. Rani and Saamy don't care about the affect their decisions have on the children, Vani is too blinded by her ego to accept that Gautam is right, Bhoomi is succumbing to fear by letting Surya back to work which is going to only make him worst. Can the writers atleast show Gautham as the sensible one and GO GET A JOB AS AN ENGINEER. I would love to see Gautham go to work and it would be such a proud moment for this character. He was always the rowdy the one that would amount to nothing, but look at fate, he marries a lovely girl, has a positive influence on his inlaws who gave up the wrongs and now doing good and love him like a son, he becomes very successful in his job and is happy but it is still brave and kind and honourable like he always was success and happiness doesn't take away his good qualities. Even more awesome to see if Kathir sold his illegal businesses and gave that money to Pooja to do some good and Gautham and Pooja could team up and not only have successful careers but use their fortune to help others. What a slap to the parents face the son they shunned is the one that rises above them all maybe being away from the family politics is what he needed to shine.
