Loved Vani's confrontation with Saravanan especially when she says just because you have a beard does not meant that you are a man...and comparing him to Selvi. Loved it when she gave back the same dialogues to him - Kuttuthu le? Avamanama irukkele?

Rani was funny too - Oh God, says Vani and she says antha cod ellam thooki orathile podu. The interaction between her and Poo on the swing was lovely.

Hate the useless good-for-nothing wastrel of Malathi's husband.

It received complaints here but I loved that episode because of those comic little things 😆
I think everyone was so annoyed with the story that they failed to notice the comedy 😆
Except you of course 😉

Devi- Bhoomi - I am uneasy about this storyline but like I said to Shree, if this was an American soap or movie (Orange County, An American Beauty), she would have seduced him and slept with him and made sure Vani found out to execute her revenge. 😆 Let's see how it goes.

I think it might be better if they show this negative track parallel to the positive track post Poongodi's marriage.
I cannot wait for Rani-Thenu-Poongodi combination... if the marriage happens of course 😕

It's the sand throwing that irks me
Good riddance we didn't have anything like that here 😃

Dialogues matter a lot. Words are powerful. My ears would ache if I hear nasty dialogues.

Throwing sand is part of the culture over there - yours would be throwing snow? 😉

My fellow Vani Ranians - I am back. Missed you all sooo much. 🤗 It was difficult watching the episodes in Australia as I did not take my laptop with me (holidays kooda lap top konduvantha over-a ille) and the data plan really sucked. However, Shree was very busy updating me 😆 (thank you Shree chellam) and I was quite annoyed at the way the story was developing. The very things that I had asked them specifically NOT to focus on were the basis of the episodes whilst I was away.

I did bring this up with the powers-that-be. ON Rathnam is just the director. The storylines are created by this guy called Kumaresan - who unfortunately does not have Facebook account...otherwise nalla dose kooduthu irrupen. But I did talk to the head of the production team and I am afraid I was quite scathing. But he said that the suicide story was necessary to give Selvi a new story.

I think we should look beneath the surface and see how the story is developing. The Poo-Karthik-Sara triangle is prolonging no doubt - but would such a complex story be resolved in a matter of days in real life? I also felt that these episodes were an opportunity for the actors to show their acting talents - especially Maha Lakshmi who has blossomed in this serial compared to the one-dimensional villi or the jealous and spiteful character that she normally plays. Manaas, I don't want to comment - but I did tell the VR team that just because we complained he was always crying, you have made him so arrogant and heartless.😆 I think his logic is very twisted, and he is one of those idiots who think the whole world has wronged him - the episode where Rani slaps him and tells him a few home truths was just superb. She is right - why should Vani bother about him? And is he so ungrateful that he forgot or ignored that the underlying issue beneath Vani being concerned about him is her love for her nephew? We love our nephews and although we will never attempt to take over their parents' roles in their lives, we would be concerned and indeed chastise them if they behaved the way Sara did, from being a promising student to an uncaring one that did not even sit for his finals. Again, I liked that part of the story. The normally playful and lazy Gautham passed and yet the hardworking, conscientious Saravanan did not even turn up. I also liked Swamy's response to Sara's attempted justification of his failure to go to the exam. He asks "Do you really think that this is a valid reason?". At the moment, I do not have any sympathy for him even when he cried in the kitchen. I think that Poongodi should just tell him to eff off and go and focus on her studies. She should have slapped him the minute he laid a finger on her. I found both Swamy and Rani's behaviour unacceptable. Who is the parent here? When he was yelling at Rani to come in, Rani should have slapped him and tell him to go inside instead.

Sundari. Again her behaviour has come in for criticism. But let's look at her character. She is uneducated. Her mannerisms, the way she talks are all crass and unpolished. She has a heart of gold and she is loving and loyal. But let's not forget, she is the vettu onu thundu rendu kind of person. Nothing is grey for her - it is black or it is white. Yes, Kali is also at fault - and she really went after him in the jail - but she is not going to sit down and think from the other woman's point of view and try to be understanding? Would anyone of us if our husbands or even boyfriends have another woman? Of course not. Even us, the educated ones, would have reacted in anger and hurt. Maybe months later we would be "understanding" but at that point, the wound is raw and angry. Selvi is a fine one to talk - would she be equally as understanding if Rajesh married another woman - say Shenba? I doubt it. Sura dealt with the situation the way she knew how - take the bull by the horns and damned if anyone else gets hurt in the process - and the dialogues did not reach Padma of Thendral's proportions, to which I am grateful.

Devi- Bhoomi - I am uneasy about this storyline but like I said to Shree, if this was an American soap or movie (Orange County, An American Beauty), she would have seduced him and slept with him and made sure Vani found out to execute her revenge. 😆 Let's see how it goes.

P/S Bigamy is an offence in India. Except in Tamil Nadu where they amended the law to say that a man can marry twice, provided the first wife consents. 😡 MR Radha had five and I am sure some of them were concurrent wives. 😆

good analysis.. MR had 5 or 3 ? no wonder all the storyline of TN reflects these still.. men in TN don't change do they? always seen forcing their power on woman.. is it bec of poverty and illliteracy in the state?
