Have been watching Prithvi for years in movies and serials, but the first time I took notice of him was when as a judge in a kids' reality dance competition he spoke of his autistic child..if not mistaken, the participant he was judging had a disability and did not perform with the kind of perfection the other kids were showcasing..the child was upset and Prithvi called his parents on stage and told them they should be proud of and thankful for how well the child had performed..he said if only his child could do a fraction of what that child had accomplished on that stage, he would be the happiest, most proud parent alive or something to that effect.. đ
After that there was a controversy where an airlines had refused to allow his son board their flight citing his autism as the reason as the ground crew claimed his child would be a disturbance to other passengers because he was crazy..the way in which Prithvi and his wife dealt with the issue was so dignified and such a positive step forward in creating awareness of autism and acceptance of autistic people..that's where my respect for this couple multiplied many fold..
Now having watched his story in Namma Veedu Kalyanam, I must say, my respect for him as a human being, husband and especially father has multiplied a thousand fold..same respect goes to his wife as well..we always knew Prithvi the actor is a man of admirable talent..but Prithvi the father is a man of amazing strength of character, and there can be no higher praise for him..simply amazing! đ
