On 27th November 2006, US-Based DAVE ATWAL of Atwal Entertainment launched his India Operations with "MUMMY JI" written & directed by PAMMI SOMAL and starring an actress par excellence, KIRRON KHER in the title role! Having been an Editor of Celebrity Magazines & Writer in the entertainment industry for over twenty years, she was the CEO of a Corporate House and till recently President (Business Development) with a Singapore based company. Her experience has been an assortment of writing stories, screenplays, dialogues & lyrics as well as Direction and Production. Besides this, she has been an Honorary Consultant to some of the top Actors & established media houses in Bollywood & even received an Award for Best Media Consultant in 1994. MUMMY-JI is a complete Family Entertainer in English, Hindi & Punjabi, with strong undercurrents of emotions; a film so real that anyone would identify with the subject, the emotions and the characters! Mummy-ji is about the present-day 'Urban-India' Punjabi mother; from the kitchen to the clubhouse! Pammi has tailor made this role for Kirron Kher, who is joined by many well known and talented actors- Kanwaljit Singh, Jackie Shroff (in an unforgettable role), Divya Dutta seen as never before, versatile actor Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik comically real , Rohit Roy as a great surprise. Director of Photography, Vivek Banerjee's works have won national and international acclaim at the festivals. Ashmit Kunder has edited most of Kamalahasan's films. Buta Singh, the Audiographer has done most of J.P.Dutta's and Pranlal Mehta's 17 films.
