Vaidehi may be married to an impotent and cruel man, who won't give her a divorce, but that doesn't mean she won't fight back. One can be forgiven for thinking that Pallavi Kulkarni who plays Vaidehi will just shed buckets of tears because that's exactly what she did in her previous serial Kehta Hai Dil. But Pallavi has had enough of crying because she says, "Vaidehi's struggle will continue. She has tried her best to buy peace with Aryan but he has no emotions, so she has started giving it back to him. Now it's going to be a tit-for-tat fight between them and she will try to corner him in the same trap that he lays for her. The sulking period is over for Vaidehi. She is angry and frustrated now." Talking more about her character Pallavi says she loves her role. "Vaidehi is a bubbly girl. She is so full of life. The character has lot of shades and emotions to it. Besides she is a strong girl too." When asked if she will be doing any more shows she says, " I have refused a lot of offers. I like to wait for the right role, subject and production house. I also want my price. If you are a known face you will get your price. You just have to wait for it." She is happy with her one show and a few commercials that she is doing for now. In the serial it's understandable why Pallavi detests her reel life husband, but would she try to make her marriage work with an impotent man in real life? "If the man was genuinely in love with me and cared for me I would stay put in my marriage, sacrificing my physical needs. I would even go to the extent of adopting a child and make the marriage work. But in the serial the man is a rascal." Coming back to the show, will Neal (Manav Gohil) be the new man in her life and the father of her child? "Neal is like a son to the Jaisingh family. Since they bumped into each other at the airport they have become friends, Vaidehi and Neal share an emotional bond. I am not too sure whether a romantic track between Vaidehi and Neal is on the anvil," is all she is willing to say. |
