Rape is a serious topic that merits to be treated with sensitivity. I am not sure how old you are, but I am sure you do not mean what you just said.

You are probably too young and naive to contemplate the serious nature of such a heinous act. Rape, by its very nature, destroys the victim emotionally and physically. Rape scars the soul. I think the members of the forum did not mean to hurt your feelings, but you have to understand that people are a bit shocked by your assertions.

I do not blame you for your naive thoughts. The media, by showing detailed rape scenes in dramas and movies, has in effect glamorized rape. In movies such as Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat (released in 1997) and dramas as Kkoi Dil Mein Hai (2005), the rapists are heroes. The myth and mentality that rapists are or can be heroes needs to be shattered. As women, we need to be especially vocal about criticizing the media in helping to glamorize rape and fill young people's minds with the wrong image of what it means to be raped.

But believe me, rape is nothing to be fantasized about. Rape is about power and control for the perpetrator and as such should be condemned. I hope you reflect on my words and realize that the members are offended by your words. Please refrain from posting such topics in the future and discuss the subject with your mother or friends. They should be able to better explain the situation.
