The serial started with a bang a couple of years ago, and since then, we have all aged and grown feeble. Some might have visited and rested in hospitals, like the actors have to do now and then, but they are invaiably in coma.
When they wake up, they find all their old ones have gone away for good to destinations unknown. Iccha's heart is in Tapasya and her girl child is a transformed Iccha, so that Tina Dutta can remain forever in the Show. We miss the father, actually two of them ! We miss her grand mother who spoilt her brother, and now he has re-emerged as a monster, to be converted into a normal human being by the Daughter of Iccha. The planets around her are all revolving in new avatars.
Jogi takur with a new Divya is still there and so is old Nani, and no special reason is given why the last one, the nagging old woman is still around. May be she will play a part in the restoration of Iccha's son.
