Tina Dutta, who got her big break early in her career with Chokher Bali, is unable to believe that "one of the best directors she has ever worked with" is no more. Tina played the role of Binodini's neighbour in the critically acclaimed film. The grown up Binodini was played by Aishwarya Rai. "I always dreamt of doing a movie with him as a heroine, a fact that I have stated in all my interviews. I am one of the lucky ones that I got to work with him. I will miss him to the core."
