Television shows usually launch with a big bang. Although most promise interesting plots and mind-boggling twists, very few manage to live up to them. Here's a look at some once-popular TV shows that have run out of steam and should probably take leave.Kuch Toh Log Kahenge
It was supposed to be a bittersweet, heart-warming love story between two people, who are divided by a wide age gap and opposite personalities. A remake of a Pakistani play, Dhoop Kinare, the show brought Mohnish Behl back to the telly. He played the role of a doctor while young Kritika Kamra, was aptly cast in the role of a bubbly intern. The show went haywire when Mohnish quit and story switched to the usual topics of home and hearth and jealous lovers etc.
Uttaran
The tussle between the composed Ichcha and the fiery Tapasya was interesting to watch. The drama built up further, with Tapsaya marrying Veer, Ichcha marrying Vansh and Tapsaya responsible for Vansh's death. Every twist in this five-year-old show was explosive until they decided to go for a leap. Now, the clash between Meethi and Mukta isn't as dramatic.

Rab Se Sona Isshq
It was touted as a mega-budget show and was shot in London. But the presentation, story and narrative fell short. The show's characters changed their traits almost overnight. Ranveer went from being a happy-go-lucky guy to becoming conniving villain before returing to being a honest man. Simpleton Daljeet started displaying negative shades, but soon became a positive character again. Sahiba is the only one who has remained the same. The twists took the story forward, but there are too many and too soon for a six-month-old show.

Saath Nibhana Saathiya
Gopi's nave character was an instant hit with the audiences three years ago. It probably even helped the show climb up the TRP charts. But today Gopi's innocence isn't cute; it just gets on to your nerves. She should grow up and smell the schemes her sister and aunt plot against her and not fall for them all the time.

Welcome-Baazi Mehmaan Nawazi Ki
A show that was supposed to be about food, guests and celebrities has ended up becoming a big mess of fights and rude remarks. It is more or less, a diluted version of Bigg Boss. Every week five celebrities come together and take turns at dining at each other's house. But all too often, they pass snide remarks on the food, the home and even the participants' past. And that's a big turn-off. The content isn't driven by food anymore. That explains the low TRPs for this seven-week-old show.
