Ruling the roost of TRPs with popular television shows like, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Punar Vivah, Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki, and Kairi, production house Shashi-Sumeet Mittal is geared up to mark one more drama series for daily soap buffs.
As earlier reported the story is an adaption from Beauty and Beast, the new venture will be aired on Sony TV. The story of the show will revolve around a popular Radio Jockey who has a huge fan following but is not good looking. The story takes an interesting turn when he falls in love with a beautiful girl, played by Sargun Mehta.
While beauty is being played by Sargun, to play the male lead and Beast on the tale, Rohit Khurana who shot to the fame with his stints in Uttaran has been signed on. Rohit said, "Earlier, I have taken a risk with all the characters that I have played on TV till date. Similarly, even this role is a very challenging on".
On being quizzed if the role has some negativity, he revealed, "No, in fact this is for the first time that I will be playing a very positive character. Yes, it is about a beast, but the audience will have to see the show to understand my character. I have done grey shades in past, but have never done an out-and-out negative or positive character."
