Rashmi says No Smoking
Rashmi Desai, who is better known for her portrayal of the scheming character Tapasya in the hit serial Uttaran, has a gentler side to her personality too.
An Indya source reveals, "Rashmi Desai absolutely hates people who smoke and has always wanted to do something for this cause. Incidentally, her driver when appointed for the job told her that he doesn't smoke but one day Rashmi caught him smoking. Rashmi immediately gave him an ultimatum to either quit smoking or quit the job. The driver stopped smoking since that day and even his wife was all praise for Rashmi, who got her husband rid of the disgusting habit. She personally came and expressed her gratitude to Rashmi."
When we contacted Rashmi, she agreed that she had indeed given her driver the ultimatum. Says Rashmi, "It is a disgusting habit and I hate the smell of cigarettes in my car. I wish we could all get together and ban cigarettes all together."
