March 3, 2011 Written Update

Ichcha convinces Veer to sit with Taps in the puja. Later, Taps is overjoyed when Chanda comes with a saree from Veer. Chanda thinks that it'll be fun to see what happens later. Nani gets Taps all dressed up when they see Ichcha come out of her room, wearing a saree exactly identical to that of Taps. Nani taunts her and tells Ichcha to go change. She goes to her room. When Veer realizes she wants to change, he explains how he bought it for her when Mai told him to get a saree for Taps and requests her to wear it. The Thakurs, Damini and other guests arrive and the puja begins. Veer is called down and he enters with Ichcha. While the pundit chants the holy mantras, Veer is asked to put a red odhni over Taps' head and he does while Ichcha watches sadly, and Damini looks on worried.

Precap: Damini questions Ichcha abt whether she felt bad when Veer put the red odhni over Taps' head, and Ichcha tells her that she can never hide her tears from her.

Holy cr*p! What's wrong with us that we sincerely watch this show which is so obviously devoid of sane characters? ! Is no one capable of thinking logically? Veer and Jogi Thakur's logic comes in flashes, (BTW I think this is why Jogi isn't given screen time)
Veer of course, is eye candy, so his screen time can't possibly be reduced.

When Tapu/nani are going on about how she's carrying the Vansh to the Bundela khandan, why doesn't somebody point out that it's because of Tapu that the first Vansh DIED, remember?The Bundelas haven't turned her over to the police, she should be grateful.

And now, if she claims she's carrying a baby boy who is the re incarnation of Vansh (ridiculous premise!), they (or at least Veer and his father) should tell her it's the least she could do.

I can predict what's going to happen (assuming Tapu carries the child to term without getting outed by that mystery caller). The baby will be born and Mai will allow Tapu to stay on, since the baby needs a mother. Veer's attempts to draw up a custody share agreement for the baby will be waved away. More frustration. Ichha (who, as Tapu observed, has a gift for maroing kuladhi on her own paer) will convince Veer it's for the best that Tapu continue to stay on, since the baby needs a mother and Mai cannot bear to be parted from her grandson.

Geez, why do I even watch that show?? Why is it so popular?? Ichha is NOT a role model for young women. In fact, she's a "What NOT to do Handbook", walking around in a sequinned sari.

my question is, where were sakshi and satya during this whole fiasco..they seem to manage to show up at every other function..why not now? And how long is tap's mom going to be in america..for gods sake, a wedding doesnt last THAT long does it?

I started watching this in the states and them came to india for an assignment in august and continued watching....it has been ONE big downer, I tell ya. Icha hasnt had ONE chance to enjoy some screen time. Seriously, I dont blame Tina for wanting leave the show, there is no track advancement. TPTB(the powers that be), could easily(at a minimum), have bundela family find out that taps wasnt pregnant when she arrived and that premise was a lie. Even though she did end up pregnant, it would at least be SOME vindication towards iccha.

It would even be some vindication towards iccha IF mai pulled her aside and said "look" this whole thing is an act...just run with it...I know that taps is the cause of vaansh's death. At least mai would get back in the good graces of umed? And who wears the pants in that family....uhmed or mai?

Seems like chanda didi is the runs the show.

errr this show is so frusturating from all angles, its become tooooo backward. The cinderella stepsister evil mother(nani) story is so played out.

If I were the writers, I would have had iccha and veer lock eyes, at the precise moment he was putting the chuni on taps...and RIGHT when it would have hit taps's head, iccha faints...and veer stops the the chuni draping.

Everyone who likes iccha would rush to here side, the doctor would come in and say "no need to worry, iccha is pregnant"...and that too 3 months...just with all the stress, that is why she wasnt having her periods.

Then, regarding taps pregnancy, I would have taps go into pre-term labor (which of course would worry mai and nani)...taps could have the baby "one month early"..but then the doctor would say "NO, the baby is full term"...the entire bundela family could then put "two and two" together and realize that taps concieved the child ONE MONTH earlier, than she claims and that the child isnt veers, but VANSH's..(they can do a track where vansh takes advantage of taps out of anger because she taunted him with veer and icchas love).

This way mai does get her vaansh, veer hasnt fathered a child with her, and it leave the taps storyline open to a possible romance with satya OR Rathod.

Too bad chanda didi is not too pretty, because it would have been a nice story track to see her fall in love with someone on the side...nice timepass.

The other idea that I had is after taps has the baby, nani would try and get gunwanti to keep taps in the house for the sake of the child (needs its natural mother)...otherwise, nani could threaten mai to take her "vaansh" back to jogis house. Which of course mai would say, that they would fight for custody.

They could go for a custody battle, and the lawyers could require a DNA test to make sure the baby really is taps and veers. And while taps is "hoping" that the baby is veers..it really comes back that it ISNT.

Then the track can turn to veer who confesses to all, that he is sterile, and cannot father any children!!!! He can explain to all that it is something that he found during the DNA test and THAT IS WHY iccha wasnt getting pregnant.

They can then show a really nice track of iccha and veer looking to adopt a child of their own (which follows at least a modern day theme that alot of couple today can relate too).

And the taps story can be the "who is the babies daddy"...it would be pretty cool if it was rathods---after one drunk night rendevous when they were at that casino. They can make the track of the courting of rathod and taps..since he always says that they are "bound to always run into each other".

Regarding Satya and Sakshi.....I have a feeling that maybe the mom is mais or uhmeds long lost children from an outcasted relative...and they have come back for revenge because they were outcasted from the bundela family because of something there parents did.
