Not knowing things is ok....but arrogance and mockery..at people who share anything they knowing is disgusting. Just because you have not seen certain things...doesn't mean they don't exist.
@Nidhi & Sanaya...Very sensible posts by both of you. But there are people who are here for mockery and sarcasm in the name of fun.
I really want to put forth some things.....pls ignore my post if you think my request/advice is irrelevant for you. I am putting my thoughts honestly the way they are- hoping to not offend anyone.
---> Please do not use the term "Madam" while addressing any lady here. I know "Madam" is used very widely in India...even for teachers...and most people use it innocently ..not aware of its negative connotation (from "Madams" of brothels). Madam was used wide earlier in spoken language and it is still used as a title to first name….but in modern day spoken language as you talk to a lady-you can say "Ma'am" and it is acceptable…but pls avoid saying the complete word "Madam"
For guys here….most women are sensitive about how guys talk to them/about them. We come to India-forums because it is reputed as a well moderated forum and expect lot of civility. Even if you don't agree with a girl.. Please remember that its not ok to make fun of us or anything… just politely disagree. We are not your close friends and we find it very uncomfortable to deal with sarcasm from guys we don't know.
Just don't make it difficult for us to post anything…having ideas different from yours should not make us soft targets for sarcasm (which you call fun) We are not such close friends that we should be expected to take it in a sporting spirit….and we expect a level of formality especially from guys even while expressing disagreements. Please stay little formal with women….till the time we ourselves allow you to be somewhat informal.
(Differing in ideas does not mean we are inviting informal communication from you-(teasing for fun is a part of informal communication)….if we find it ok, we will ourselves talk informally with you….if we don't take that initiative-please maintain a line of decent formality….its just polite that and an expected behavior from guys-nothing else... )
Please see my post as an advice/request…not an attempt to offend anyone. If you don't agree with me…its ok too…but I don't want to start another argument on this. Thanks..
hi Hima! Waise I didnt realise about all that stuff😆
