Hi Lambooji, Finally we agree on something.

To SRKLuvr - Why blame Ichcha blame the producers.

I have always felt that the producers of these serials should read some of the relevant comments about the storyline and improve upon them.
This not only gives the actors a better role but holds the interest of the viewers from every angle. Sadly that is taking time.

IF would then have to close down and what would we then crib or compliment about. Now isn't that a thought.

She doesnt even know the word exists. Besharam ke tarah even after her father has kicked her out she has gone and used the credit card to her fullest satisfaction. Is that a symbol of self respect?

Veer has always loved Icha and he always will.......and if u r not brave enough to accept the truth than its upto u. But that cannot change the fact from happening.

And just bec Tappus evil acts bring masala and entertains viewers doesnt mean shes the type people wud love to get to their homes. Shes someone who people hate to the core and they want to see her rot in hell. Well thats the opinion of the general public not just me alone.

Are Tappu baba is the new symbol of FEMINISM......he has earned the self-respect of many by not using her father's name (remember, Hum sirf Tapasya hai, Tapasya Thakur Nahin), but using his cards.......wow new definition of self-esteem and feminism.......🤣

whereas Veer has always only loved Icha. Woh toh Icha is too dedicated to her family and gave him away to her. But itna bheek maangke shaadi karne ke baawajood bhi she cudnt make Veer love her.

Love can change a person and the change is always for good. I dont think Tapasya ever loved veer bec shes becoming more and more evil. Shayad Rocky se milke she will turn nicer. 😆

bahut jald hi rocky crorepati se phokat pati ho jayega.....apna matha pitega rocky bechara jab pata chalega ki kis khet ki muli hai TAppu Baba.....woh to apna baap-maa ko nahin chodi, aur yeh rocky ko kaun puchhe........bechara raghu.....

uttaran is barely watchable now..
only taps scenes are worth watching....

yes, prachi...the more she is getting into trouble the more enjoyable the show is becoming....ab to Matto ne mara ek jor ka dhaka.....lagta hai public ko bahut pasand hai Tappu ko dhakka khana scene....isi liye CVs ne bar bar dekha rahen hai....pehle Veer ne mara dhakka, phir jogi ne aur aaj SP Matto ne......bahut majaa aa raha hai.........humein to ek slogan bhi likh li......

very true!!👏👏..i dnt see any self respect in using and then later selling daddy's car and pushing daddy's credit card to the limit and all the while crying and saying "i wnt use the name thakur anymore"..if she had even an ounce of self respect,she wud be getting herself a job and making sumthng out of herself!!tht is NOT degrading,tht is life..bt she prefers to give attitude which apparently is "full of adaa"(no intention of belittling sanaya here,i just found the whole concept of adaa here wierd)..arre kahe ka attitude??khud ke balboote par madamji 10 rupaiye kamake dikhayo,PHIR attitude dena..self respect is not the jagir of the "rich and famous" like sum other member had posted..it just implies tht the poor dnt have self respect,which i personally find a demeaning statement..sorry for the rant btw..😳

Well, TRP's must be at an all time high as Tapasya is in Jail.

For all of my esteemed forum members, I have been reading your comments with great interest, sometimes with amusement and sometimes sadly.

May I as someone who has worked with Television from the day it started in 1992 when we had only 4 channels (Metro, DD, Zee and Star) make an observation.

It is absolutely true that TRP's drive the serial and the producers add, change and do whatever is necessary to raise those TRP's because higher TRP's mean more advertising and that is more money for the channel

I can accept when most of you make remarks on the moral issues but not by addressing them to the characters, please please remember it is the producers, scriptwriters who have taken it upon themselves to make these issues and not the actor or the character that they play. The Uttaran creative team are the self appointed moral police and to be fair not all the issues are morally incorrect - they have righted some of the wrongs.

I would like to classify the Uttaran team (like the other serial teams) as

PRODUCER/ SCRIPTWRITER - Responsible for the storyline (good or bad regardless of the original reason they started the show) and responsible for any moral issues that are involved in the show.

DIRECTOR - Responsible for the acting (he/she should bring out the best in the weaker actors or replace them if they can't) the pace of the serial (sometimes the camera pans to all the faces and the silences are so long that we lose 2 episodes)

ACTORS - Difficult as this is very subjective so I will give my own opinion.

Take the case of Jogi Thakur (I remember him as an actor with very small roles in Hindi films that did not have an impact on me). However here in Uttaran he is very good as his character and with the least amount of over-acting manages to convey his part.

Most of the others not just in this serial spend hours looking unhappy (which is fine with me as this must be what the role demands) but why can't they differ the expressions.

Ichcha - The director has done a very bad job with her. She has her 4 famous movements.
Bite lips - this means she is in pain.
Lower lip quiver - crying buckets.
Eyes suddenly open - Surprise or shock!!!
Sad face - This has become her trademark.

I am absolutely sure if directed properly she could do better or she might be fantastic in some other role. As an actor she should insist on doing her bit as does Jogi Thakur. I could go on and on about the others too but these are only examples.

Tappu is in Jail and the TRP's are soaring but I actually felt bad for a while for her because she looked terrified of being in jail. Now that is acting well because she deserved to go to jail for her misdemeanors as per the storyline. Regardless of whether viewers like Tappu or not it is more entertaining to watch her for a variety of reasons.

Look what they have done to Ichcha - stuck away again in one corner as the dutiful widow with no real attitude. Her character may be a good person but where is the fire.

Viewers watch programmes for a mix of all ingredients and with Ichcha the producers have reduced her to a sad sad figure. Whether I like her acting or not I feel very bad for her. If she can't stand up as Ichcha let her as Tina tell the producers - enough is enough.


Movie reviews are acceptable and some of the best stars have had terrible reviews written about them. I think it is time for TV serial reviews to be published so that we can see a marked improvement in storyline, direction and acting.
Thank you for your patience if you did read this. I will not be seeing the next 2 episodes so maybe someone in the Forum can give an update which I will read on Monday.

Hopefully things will begin to look up for Uttaran............
