yea u r right, somewhat. the trp's for saturday episodes r registered. but the problem is the viewership on weekends for dailies is veryyy low, most people refer reality shows, and top of that there was cricket match.
I have only seen it once where the saturday episodes have got the highest trp's, it was for Choti Bahu's Mahe episode where amma put Radhika in fire😆. So really high high drama is needed to get people to watch these saturday episodes.
Also the saturday episodes have become such a common trend these days on every channel, and people now know that nothing happens in them, they are not "mahaan"😆 so they just catch the monday's episode for all the drama😆

the show runs cause of first and foremost great rashmi desai 😕
whereas the other 3 are just doing the side actors job ...😆

vijaya,,you are a rockstar...😆... and one more imp thing is they will never be able to grab that highest trp b/cos spl.episode of 24th oct 2009... it was the first official spl.episode ever... so most for us thought that its only because of marriage mystery that they are going for spl.epi,,, but now its pretty much obvious that its a routine thing,,every show has to telecast its sat.spl.episode on their turn...either required or not... secondly every one was really fed up by the pace of the show and knew she will slap her after making our dimagh ka dahi,,,so how can someone compare the trps of both times...

exactly shonnu over expectations ruins the show
and i think by the time iccha slapped ...the viewers might have gone to sleep ...
thappad mare ya kuch bhi kare hume isse kya ..why should we spoil sleep 😆
terrible amount of dragging ...bol tapu bol tappu ...
i felt iccha should be slapped first by taps for asking her too many q's 😆

how can they expect the same trp's as that of 24th oct ...look at the story that time

Arre u all r forgetting IPL is a very big factor which was not there on Oct 24th😆..also tell me who will leave Mumbai indian's match and watch this episode of Ichha slapping Tapamata😆😆

jyoti, i donno if something is wrong is wid me but i never found that DMG guy karan hot or appealing, ugh he is so wooden looks like a plastic doll......there r guys who can stir your heart n nerves by one look..eg.Veer,Vansh wid makeover, Raghav,Vinay frm bhgya vidhata, Dev Frm CB, Milind frm Kayamat, Sujal frm kahi to hoga....loads yaar😆..even Alekh n Ranvir n also Amrit from sabki ladlin wy forget abhi frm KB

Arunima if a KSG fan sees this ,she will sue us😉😆😆..but yes I never liked KSG..he is strictly an average actor and not that grt looking also..even DMG show is below average for me..dunno why girls on IF are so crazy over him😕..thats why I said these social networking sites can never estimate the real popularity of an actor😉

Ya even I was doing some serious research of these saturday spl episodes of all shows and surprisingly none of these saturday spls hv made it to TAM ratings except for choti bahu's one episode mayb😲😕...I guess because choti bahu comes at 7.30pm on weekdays..so its trp was higher on saturday as compared to weekdays trps because on saturday it came in the prime time slot....

I think saturday spls r done only to increase the overall GRPs of a channel😉..otherwise like u said most of these saturdays spls r just like fillers and the main story happens on monday only ..the reason why right after saturday spls,monday trp of that particular serial always remains in the top..so yeah good strategy by the channels😆

yea these saturday specials r pretty much like over time work, to earn some extra money or grps in this case😆 and also in the hopes that some random people will start wathcing the show over the weekend as they will have nothing else to do😆 so yea it's good for gettign new viewers.
and yes during IPL they shouldn't expect the higest trp's on saturday, as on weekends I guess it's the men who have more conrol over the remote so they will go for cricket and reality shows, the women loose out😆.

and I also agree with your other statement, shows don't run on actors, yes they have loyal fans, but trp's don't come from these so called loyal fans😆 it's the content and the curosity as u said.
