hey guys,i think the story is on the correct track from the beggining of the leap, ichki is not shown loitering for love and her dream prince.she is an eductaed girl who has not forgotten she her roots in the slums,so she is very well aware of the value of education and wants children like her to be educated and not sell flowers on the street.she teaches slum children so that they can also stand on their feet.i am happy the show can still be truly called 'uttaran'
sounds like a good start.lets hope they maintain it.
creatives, plsssss no love triangles, conspiracies, devar hating bhabhi, another woman after the lead girl's husband and living in the same house!!.plss spare us.no more of that pls...
go ichki.go!!!

of course.see uttaran is not only about how the lower class people use our used belongings happily.even their own life is not their own.when they work for us.we pay them, from where do we get the extra advantage of treating them as untouchables or animals,or shud i call untouchable animals?
as shown in the show we always feel that they dont have the right to study,to buy new things,to take decisions bcoz the fact is that we cannot tolerate them rising to our level.we want to see them at our feet.unki kya majaal jo hamare barabar aa kar baithe?who was nani and divya to decide that damini's daughter would have to go to their friend's house to work?why didnt they send tapasya if nani said she cant go back on her words ?'hum zabaan de chuke hain'.the lottery episode was just a mirror of what the situation actually is.these poeple buy lottery more than us.but what if they win.their illeteracy comes in the path of accessing it.forget about nani, tell me honestly, had anyone of us announced the news to damini and iccha?had any one of us said congrats iccha,u have won 50 lakhs u are no more a poor maid's daughter.no.none of us would have done that.haina.so we try to discourage and insult them every moment they try to step forward towards a dignified life.can u give me a guarantee if your or mine ancestors were born rich people.maybe they were also slaves and slowly stood up and raised their level.then why cant somebody else of the same level ever dream of a good and dignified life?
the motto of uttaran is to provide a dignified and respected life to these people.iccha got admission in tapasya's school.but she never hid the fact that she is a poor maid's daughter.she announced it in front of the whole school.nobody taunted her for that.everybody still liked her.played with her.she was given a right to enjoy her life.that's the idea of uttaran.tapasya's behavior resembles the same pattern of thinking that a group of people in our society have.they want to be always called superior casts.why?does tapasya have an extra organ?we should not forget we all come under the same category-human beings.
now that iccha has grown up,i hope she stands on her own feet and help other's like her also do so rather than wandering for her dream prince and wasting time.yes i want her to get married but after she has found a place for herslf and damini in the society.
I hope i was of some help to solve ur query

I agree to your gist of the storyline.. in fact after the leap im more postive towards ichaa.. but when the channel started showing its promos before release the word 'uttaran' and the title song gave out a different impression.. and in just a couple of episodes the story moved back in our regular havelis.. which was disappointing as a viewer.. what got me continuing to watch it was just the acting of the little girls.

There is a movie called 'homeless to harvard' which u must watch if possible.. its a true story about a young girl Liz Murray who becomes homeless as her parents die of drug addiction and how she goes to a public school and goes on to win a scholarship to harvard university. Such stories are inspirational.. Ichaa went to the topmost school and got the best of facilities and she turned out a good, educated girl... nice but whats great about that? just the fact that she did not become a spoilt brat? Kuki gets more credit than Ichaa who worked in the day and attended a night school and is now doing good for herself... while Ichaa was sleeping soundly on the warm cushioned haveli bed. The good part about her character now is using her education for the good of other kids who were like her.

Also why can't anyone live a dignified life if they have worked hard for it? All Damini did was push around a wheelchair and take care of Tappu as a mother.. It was the easiest source of not good but a comfortable life.. she kept on making excuses to stay in the haveli even though Ichaa was suffering.. babyji's friendship, loving family.. even to the extent of asking Ichaa to sacrifice for tappu.. Its a rule of life.. u r either born rich or u work hard for it.. damini did neither.

Damini never searched for her husband after coming to Mumbai for 8 yrs.. never tried to contact him, never tried to find out the truth about her honest husband, never did Ichaa ask about him.. all Ichaa wanted was kismat like rich kids not her father and loving family.. so their sudden change of lifestyle due to the death of this guy came out as very unfair.. but its surely more the writer's fault and wouldn't be true in real life.. atleast i cudn't feel bad for the two after losing someone they never missed in the first place.
Anyways, this show is good enough to atleast analyse it .. not illogical like many other dramas.. but for me the word 'uttaran' remains just a different title that def did its job of pulling in a lot of viewers incl myself when the show started.

regarding damini not searching her husband,it has already been shown on the show.she did not want to ruin her child's future.she knew she could have done nothing but emboss 'a murderer's daughter' on her child hand.she couldnt ruin one more life for the one she thought had already been ruined.she couldnt afford to do that.it was only when pushkar came into to haveli and she saw his double standard she started thinking if pushkar had played a nasty game with her family.
regarding the rest of the issue, damini and icha staying in the haveli, not wanting to move out, living a luxurious life etc etc etc we have already had a lot of discussion on it.u can always turn things around and portray good characters as the most opportunist characters.i can understand that.that's duniya ka dastoor.jitna karo utna suno.I think u should also watch the ndtv imagine show 'jyoti'.u'll come to know.uttaran has the moral support of damini and iccha to the thakur family while jyoti has both financial and moral support of jyoti to the sharma family.I think its a matter of ones thought and perception how u take it.nobody can do anything about it.
bye

If you put yourself in Damini's position will u never look for your husband if some random guy comes and tells u he is a murderer in some jail? Like she says he was very honest and kind hearted all his life.. cudn't it be a mistake .. shudn't she give him any benefit of doubt? Its very unrealistic.. she can talk to him and find out the truth and then decide to cut ties.. anyways im sure its for the storyline. it comes across to me as extremely cruel ( can't find a perfect word) of damini. Then after she comes to know of the truth her sudden crying and Ichaa suddenly missing her dad just felt too shallow. Im surprised u think she is right in this situation too.. wow u r a true fan.
We can never agree on the other part of this post so we shud best leave discussing it 😊

ur right.first we have to get out of our a.c rooms.walk on foot and do a lot of things we never imagined to put ourself at damini's position to analyse what could have been the alternative other than what she did.how much do u expect from an anpadh lady who has 5000 in hand to settle her and her 1.5 years daughter?she had to be selfish for her daughter.its not about being a great fan.its about reality which is different at eveery level of society.remember the bottle we have water from is actually a maut ka kua for an ant.
regarding you calling damini cruel and not having a word to describe it,its again a matter of perception.u can always turn things around and portray good characters as the most opportunist characters.its not your fault.its duniya ka dastoor.jitna karo utna hi suno.for example when a rich guy marries a poor girl people say acha bakra faasa hain ladki ne,aish o gayi is ki to and when a rich girl marries a poor guy then people say bholi bhaali ladki ko fasa liya, doulat ke peeche insaan kya kya karta hain?if u see'jyoti' jyoti is married to a guy who cant see but has conquered all his limitations.he is a self dependent person.unfortunately he is rich.on the marriage some people said even if the guy is blind the marraige is taking place because he is a rich guy.on the other hand some said the ladkawala's have managed to ruin an innocent girl life with their sweet talks.in any case its always the weaker, whether financially or physically,is blamed.so so i cant blame u.its completely a matter of one's perception how u take it.

I don't watch any other shows.. well BV.. but im obsessed enough with this one 😊.. I guess Im overanalyzing.. its realistic but its ultimately a drama.. for me, the thought that one's husband is innocent and can be framed for a murder is motivation enough to look for him with even Rs100 in hand. Anyways, I like the fact that u see positive in everything.. its a good quality.
