Why is anyone surprised that F is concerned for T? He absolutely minimizes the pain T has gotten from him, otherwise he is extremely protective of her. And it's not recent behavior. After marriage when he's being a little shithead, even though he fought with tejo later, in front of G, he defended her. If anyone else tried to even point a finger, he'll rip them a new one.

Also, it's reciprocal. Despite everything T wants to see him happy. If he got in some sorta trouble tomorrow, she'll be by his side.

Somehow I feel Fateh thinks Tejo as his best friend. Tejo being strong around him even after his EMA, I think he thinks that Tejo is the only person who understands how much he loved Jasmine. She is the one who helped him, supported him getting Jasmine.
He doesn’t like Tejo being sad, he tries to protect her from all kinds of evil. Even before her marriage all he did for Tejo was not because Tejo being Jasmine’s sister but because he thought her as a good friend.

May be he thinks Tejo knows that I love Jasmine and I can never give her the love she deserves. That’s why he becomes sad.

I do remember a Dil To Pagal Hai scene where Rahul was as sad as Nisha because he couldn’t love her, because he was in love with Pooja.

Obviously being intimate with her and then hiding EMA was his worst mistake. He always took Tejo for granted.

I think it’s time, Angad showing him mirror and Tejo ignoring him. He should know that a friend is not equal to life partner.

You know one of the most f*cked up part about F was, even worse than EMA, the way they forgot F's personality, his character. He's emotionally immature, acts like a child, BUT he was sharper than a knife in these things, and very pragmatic too. Post marriage, despite the tensions, even when they visit T's home, he's cordial, but he also warns Tejo to stay away from her family nautanki, which she ignores. He was sharp.

I just mourn that F so much. Ab toh is gadhe ko kuch pata nahi hota.

Pre ema Fateh was such a straightforward person , he had a different aura .

F has always been emotionally underdeveloped, he doesn't have any identity or self of himself yet. To have conviction in your words, you need a sense of self. F lacks that rn. The day he knows who he is, he'll get a clarity.

Best friend is a part of that, but I think he's feelings for T. He isn't remembering just their friendly moments, he's missing their post marriage moments. The way they've handled post divorce scenes it is much clear. He's sad and disappointed because he knows he's hurt T, and he can't undo any of that. Tbf I never thought that he's in love with J, he just had a crush on her, and she's more like a drug which provides him relief from his extremely troubled family. He entirely lacks that passion, respect or even protective spirit for J. A man in love doesn't do that. One of the most telling scenes was the motel scene.

Police raids F and T are being arrested and J hides. F's actions in that scene are just hilarious. He holds on to tejo like his life depends on her, even when there's no real danger. However J is alone in that motel and not for a moment he considers that she must be alone in such situation.

Ehh the dudes a complicated character. I just hope makers use the opportunity and give a proper story.
