Fatejo’s udaariyaan

Tejo’s udaariyaan has officially begun.

The insecurities that seemingly “independent” people harbor because of their complexes on physicality is real as hell and I’m so glad to see that the makers have acknowledged that in her. She has grown up believing that jasso is the ultimate definition of beauty and she doesn’t match up.

Every time tejo is getting dressed up, she’s shy and looking for validation. Jasmine, on the other hand selects her best dresses and carries it with panache. She doesn’t need someone to tell her that she’s beautiful, she KNOWS it.

The way they got dressed for that dinner highlighted that difference and now she wants to change herself to suit fateh’s preferences.

Jasmine knew what fateh liked, tejo was unsure.

Now coming to other things like trying to make sense of fateh, a little bit of his udaariyaan and his actions:

So he continues to reassure her, tell her that she knows him better and almost bites jasso’s head off for making her feel bad.

He is making the flimsiest excuses to hold on to tejo. As soon as jasso said, let her move on, he panicked again. We all know that he doesn’t give a damn about the family because he had left them once.

The things I liked, fateh claims to love jasmine but he isn’t loosing his sleep if she’s upset, her frantic calls don’t bother him.

We had a parallel of sorts with him having a conversation with his dad and jasmine calling him relentlessly. The last time he apologized to her and shit. This time around, khushbir gave him the permission to answer it and he CHOSE to switch it off and judging by the precap, he doesn’t turn it back on till he reaches the academy.

We are all so fixated on hating fateh, that perhaps we are missing the changes in him. He is one hundred percent wrong but his “ishq” is getting unraveled. Jasmine is at her worst and now it’s his chance to witness her zidd in the truest form.

But why it should be always about Fateh??? Even if F realises that J is mean, evil, superficial that does not change the fact that he cheated on his wife for his ex girlfriend and he will not mend his ways cause EMA is wrong but cause J is not what he thought. So for me the issue remains even with his happy realisation.

He has taken a decision in his marriage to cheat and now he don't get right to chose between Tejo and Jasmeen cause he has already chosen J. He had many opportunities of denying that temptation and Tejo was helping him out but he has given in to the temptation and now he has to face consequences of his action. It is upto Tejo now what she decides. It should be all about her now.

I am sorry for repeating same thing again and again in almost every post of mine but this is not going from my head. I'm here just for Tejo's reaction and action thereafter.

Doesn't matter if he changes, feels bad, regrets, cries buckets or rivers, has an redemption arc - he willingly chose to cheat. That's it. There is no turning back.

He might change, see the difference, decides to back out.

There isn't any Fatejo.

He will break her self confidence and no amount of apologies can erase this.

This is entirely my opinion. I don't know what the makers will show.

Completely agreed! Ideally, someone like fateh should get dumped the moment he decided to cheat but I’m taking this show with a bucket of salt and as I’ve mentioned several times, fateh had never moved on. The day after his wedding, he rushed like a maniac to check if jasmine regretted her decision and he was ready to take her back.

His moving on efforts were half assed, the moment jasmine entered the picture, he relapsed terribly.

It is going to be tejo’s call and they’ve started addressing her issues. It’s her journey from now on because earlier we only got to see her kindness, it’s time for more from her!

The problem is, the makers are being careful. Emotional infidelity isn’t portrayed well on itv so I’m curious to see how far they'd push him. The level of redemption would be based on that. How much is even acceptable?

For me, fateh saying that i love you was sickening and a deal breaker. But then, this is his journey as much as anyone else’s.

Tejo getting shattered is a given and every day, she falls for him a little more.

preciously what I said in another thread. the ball isn't in his court anymore. it wasn't the moment he decided to cheat.

Absolutly agree with you .

But fact still remains Fateh and Tejo are husband and wife. It's not so easy to break this relationship in India. The way Jas is taking things easily , it is not . Fateh knows it. He has given in to his past obsession but he very well knows his relationship with Tejo is complicated. Especially when he knows her history and how they got married.

That's biggest problem of Fateh right now . He knows Tejo too much . Jas knows it too but she has her priorities set. But F still is confused about his priorities.

It's this unclarity that has landed him into cheating knowingly.

Here only reason F wants to keep this Marraige is coz he feels responsible. So it's Tejo who must decide and leave F for her self esteem.

They wanted their mother to be taken back as rightful wife of Rama. Rama happily accepted. She came but a member in Sabha commented how can we believe she is still pure . The lady had enough . Her self esteem was hurt even though she loved Rama, she decided to get taken by mother Earth rather then return as his wife. Rama pleaded but Sita said even if I love you I have a self esteem as a woman and it does not allow me to come back to you again. Sita is criticised in history for being an adamant proud woman for not coming back to her husband. But she was a feminist even though madly in love with her husband she did not let her self esteem down. *****)

All I wanna say here is that ITV often expects women to sacrifice, forgive and forget whatever shit husband and family throw on them.It's time to talk more of self esteem and self dignity of a woman rather then idolizing her for sacrificing herself for family.

@bold: I think internally Fateh is confused. He doesn't want to admit that he's fallen for Tejo too and can't seem to let go of her. I agree - family is partly just an excuse to delay. He wants to have his cake and eat it too.

I watched clips of the recent episode on ig - seems like he's getting more and more annoyed at Jasmine & remembering her bad qualities. Esp now that he has Tejo in his life, on a "comparable" footing (before one was his gf and the other his "bff", now one is his wife, the other his mistress), Jasmine is looking a hell of a lot worse. Her flaws are that much more glaring to him when he's experienced Tejo's achaai.

In what world does Fateh think he can let his family know nicely? It makes no sense. No matter how its said, this will crush his dad especially. So even if that's a real excuse for him - what did he think he could do to let them down gently?

His dilemma is too complex. He claims to love jasmine but admits that tejo is being wronged. Would never let go of her but wants to have jasmine because “ishq” 🙄

I think a part of him had always admired tejo’s qualities. Way back, he had wished that jasmine should be like tejo. Her “achaai” humbles him.

His father warming up to tejo was a direct contrast to his relation with jasmine. He accepted tejo for who she is and not because the “laadla beta” was throwing a tantrum. His mum came around due to her devotion to them. He realizes better than anyone that tejo is the perfect fit and simran will cement it further.

Infact that bed scene was not bad given that F is still thinking as how yo deal with Jas.😆 He did not avoid her neither was he uncomfortable. He was just lost in chaos he has created for himself .

All I know is that this Kaliyug Era and we have monogamy law in India. Fateh dare not inspire from Krishna of Dwapar yug era. Chappal aur joote padne hai isko.

Fateh Veer ji is a cheater. He deserves to be left by his perfect wife and get tortured by his hoorpari .
