I don't think they need to kill off Chakor if Meera doesn't agree to continue, she can remain jail and if they need to reintroduce the character later they can ask Meera again or bring someone else.

mesh, i think VJ has been eased out bec they have no role for him, they wanted to focus on anjor, foster family, chakor etc and then leap, maybe he didnt want to be left hanging so best was for the makers to let him go. its not fair for him to keep on waiting, so ph did their bit by removing him from the story and giving him farewell

In all these the production house genuinely supported the actors and respected their feelings.

But here PH is so so so selfish.

mesh they need a connection for the leap and for that they need to show some link, if they dont show chakor at all, it will look like a brand new show. better would be to show both chakor side by side, so audience knows whats going on in both of their lives.

rem how they showed only anjor and new characters in first week of anjor ki udaan and trps fell. chakor came on the fri episode of that week

if they decide to have leap next week, then promo will feature only new girl as Anjor, again not a good idea bec they will present it as a new show

I don't know the internal politics but I think after the first year it's easier to leave the show by giving notice, many actors refused to age on screen, for example the negative lead in Woh Apne Sa and the FL in doli armanon ki.

It is a difficult decision, no one wants to be labelled disloyal, but it happened before and as Bini said in another thread the PH isn't powerful and can't harm her career.

If they really need a connection then they'll offer Meera Anjor's role, this is how most generational leaps work. At the end they can't force Meera to do what she doesn't want.
