Mesh I know this is very stupid, but I think they wanted to show her progression towards raghav through the following scenes

In hospital he is cheering anjor, and she imagines him to be suraj ( actually it was meant to be taking suraj's place in their lives) and then is angry on herself and reminds herself that he is raghav...

When she doesn't want him to leave after aakash issue

Ofcourse in the hotel room when she first is ready to eat from his plate...then out of guilt is angry on herself

When she is ready to kiss him...(That was meant to be the ultimate progression)

And all her progression I felt was meant to have happened through small bits and pieces such as the way he supported her through everything, right from rajjo to imli, how he always took a stand for her, the way he gelled with anjor, the way he started caring for her, actually everything that suraj used to do...even the duniya ka kimti heera dialogue actually sums up the feeling suraj had for chakor... so basically avoiding the leap and symbolically showing few scenes we were meant to assume her progression
