That's exactly my point... the problem is with the bloody script! A person who is very familiar with sukor's relationship & their journey & history will not come up with something like this. It just doesn't seem to fit sukor somehow. They might not be ruining sukor completely but they are compromising here. They're not linking past & present. They're writing like it's a new story. They've changed the equation of sukor... especially since the 1.5 year leap. Having seen their entire journey, this feels very unlike sukor. And they especially portrayed suraj as a passionate lover... where's that side of him gone? Did it die after he became a father? That's what I'm not able to make sense of. Maybe I shouldn't be searching the tectonic plates like Sumi says.
