CHAPTER 15
She shuddered as she felt his feeling moving back. He has retreated backwards but for what. She, lost in the world she was, moved back to see what could be the reason and was delighted to see her man kneeling down for her. A smiling rose, proud on it's accomplishment of witnessing the love, waved at her as he held it in his hand...
She wanted to seep this sight of wonder deep in her heart. So deep, that with each of her breath, her body would cherish each moment of her love.
Her reverie was broken by his clearing of throat.
Suraj, "I haven't done this before and hence lack experience. Do pardon me if you catch me wrong!"
Chakor confused.
Suraj, " The moment you stepped in my life...it got everything. I found the reason of my smile, the day I found you. Having you by my side is what completes me. What I can't deny at all, is my each moment that wants to keep you in my embrace. I can lose the world, so as to win you. I LOVE YOU!"
There were tears in her eyes. How dreamy it all looks. How beautiful it is. How ideal he is.
And he suddenly sits down on the floor startling Chakor.
Suraj, "Phew! Chakor you know what. It took me two hours to memorize these lines...to speak up them with feel!" And both started laughing.
Chakor, "BTW, Suraj sometimes it's good to turn ideal, practical things aren't that pleasing to heart."
Suraj, " Hmm! I can see some practical one falling into romance!" Stressing on the last word.
Chakor tried to avoid him, when suddenly his phone beeped.
May be a text, which made him soldier-like. Attentively he stood up with his phone, to check on something. Chakor was constantly looking at him in confusion. Out of curiosity, she asked, "What happened Suraj?!"
Suraj, "hmm!"
And with more confusion, she headed towards him, when suddenly he smiled or we can say full of joy, he kept aside his phone only to pick up Chakor in his arms. All this was so sudden, that Chakor was left startled but Suraj was nearly dancing holding her in hands..she was sure it's something happy but what. Suraj was so happy that he didn't care of rest things and started shouting out of joy, "Chakor! Chakor! Chakor!"
Chakor couldn't get anything and suddenly she jumped out of his arms. And excitement mixed with anger she asked, "Are you going to tell me what happened!?"
Suraj with all the happiness held her by shoulders saying, "MY DEAR IAS ASPIRANT, YOU NO MORE HAVE TO ASPIRE!"
Chakor still couldn't get it. May be she didn't wanted to assume anything.
Suraj, "Congratulations on your success, IAS OFFICER, MRS. CHAKOR SURAJ RAJVANSHI" and she was shocked, surprised and amazed. She couldn't digest and asked him to repeat, " I think I heard something wrong. Can you repeat!"
Suraj, "Madame! Please come out of your shock. It's true! You have topped the UPSC and now you are an IAS officer." Tears down her cheeks. This is what happens when you get what you wanted from the moment you could think wisely. How hard she worked for it. How she spent each moment imagining her as an IAS officer. How much it mattered to him.
In all this happiness, she hugged Suraj as tightly as she could. He was her only family there. He was her admiration. And after all, he was her husband, who was the happiest for her. Suraj calmed her and told her that she scored very well and the toppers are informed a night before, and here it was. The best part for him was that this news broke on their sixth months anniversary. The best part for her was that he was the one to speak it out.
Both the families were informed of Chakor's success. Delighted very much, both the families decided to plan a huge celebration for Chakor. The mothers were in tears, the fathers were proud on the accomplishment of their daughter. The success was of Chakor's but brightened face was of Suraj. He was so happy that forgetting all the gentleman-like behavior he decided to adapt, while being with her, was kept aside and he asked or rather ordered her to dance with him. Yes! He was wonderful.
After a lot of dual celebrations, she did dinner together. While having dinner, Suraj said, "So Chakor! This implies you scored awesome in interview. Obviously, the credit goes to me(smilingly). Will you please tell me the answer to your question which I have been wondering since your interview?!"
FLASHBACK...
As he entered he began, " Oh wow you are here. Tell me how was your interview." taking a place next to her holding her right hand in his hands.
She smilingly looks at him , "Suraj! According to me, it was good. Whatever they asked, I replied simply. It was not so difficult as I thought."
Suraj , "Any unexpected question?''
Chakor thoughtfully, "no and yes! "
Suraj confused , "what is this? I am not getting it.''
Chakor, " they asked me, - Mrs Rajvanshi, your husband is among the best IAS officers in the country. Do you also want to follow his path or want to go ahead of him?"
Suraj curiously, "So madam, should I take more effort to request you to tell me your answer."
Chakor holding back their hands , "Suraj, my answer impressed them. But Sir, you will have to take a lot of effort to find my answer."
Suraj irritated , " please tell me or I will use some other way !..."
FLASHBACK ENDS.
Chakor, " Suraj you must know what I would have answered."
Suraj, "Chakor! Plz now no more suspense! I want the answer."
Chakor smilingly, " I told them that how much I have known my husband and learnt about him. He would nowhere want me to be behind him. He will always be happy if I go ahead of him. But since, it's really rare to find someone like him, I would rather choose to walk with him. He is not just my husband, but my idol also. And I will be the happiest if I get to touch the mark he made last year."
Suraj, "Chakor! You are a diligent worker. You will definitely get more opportunities, then why to keep a condition to always be with me."
Chakor, " No matter how well I do, you have been my inspiration. May be there will be times when such happens, but I always want to hold the same place, I am standing now. I love it alot!"
This was something special between them. Each one wanted the other one to rise. But both wanted to never leave the other behind. And this condition was mutual.
The day ended on a beautiful note as it began. For Chakor, this will be one of the most memorable day of her life. Although something was still left.
Suraj noticed Chakor's hesitant behavior before they were going to the date. And he so wanted to talk about that.
He was on bed and knew she'll sleep as soon as she comes on bed..and he was not so patient to wait for tomorrow.
She came. And he blasted.
Suraj, "Chakor! I want to know what was your imagination of the surprise I was giving you today."
Chakor hesitantly, "Nothing Suraj! I thought it to be a date that's it."
Suraj, "I wonder you still haven't realized that I can study you now."
She took her place on the bed and made sure she ignores him every way.
Suraj, "Realizing love not always means to end the friendship. Our friendship had a decent gap. And so our love will. I won't proceed further in our love unless I'll be sure we both are ready! So you can chill for now!" and covered himself with the blanket from head to toe. And she was left with her mouth open..on how smart his "JUST FELL IN LOVE" husband is. Also on how much more he'll make her fall for him.
