Lying to Paakhi? Yes, he could. Now we know how good he is at lying, lol

Now, seriously. You know, Esha, I still have doubts that the whole Imli thing was for real. I know is silly to still claim this. But there are certain scenes that keep coming back to my head who don't let me believe that Suraj was ever after Imli.

And before the consummation scene when he told Chakor that he will take care of Imli and she can go home in peace, in that scene he looked honest. That scene didn't give me the vibes that something wrong is going to happen. He looked as a friend who sincerely wanted to apologize and celebrate his friend's birthday. He took that bottle of alcohol that Imli had and threw it away. So, he was sober enough to know what was wrong and was right for her. Hard to believe that only later he went all the way with her to spoil her life.

And another thing, it's common sense that a man can't be so shy with girls after fathering a child. So, the doubts are still in my head, I can't get them out and I did try.

And I had also voiced it that how come a man who was in love before ( he proclaimed his love so passionately ) , who was about to become a father, how could he NOT recognize the feelings of love for his wife ???? How come he was so confused that he couldn't figure it out on his own and needed a 7 year old to make him realize that...how is that possible ????

This is another thing that doesn't sit right. Two times he needed someone else to tell him he is in love. First, it was Chakor who made him realize that he loves Imli and now a kid tells him he is in love. This is too much.
A man can't be so clueless about his own feelings two times in a row!

Just another thing. This shyness goes with Suraj's character. I am no surprised by it. This is man who didn't have the chance to relate with girls. Ragni was much younger and ran away from home. He was always around his father, doing manly works. The only girl who was around him was Imli, but he treated her and she also acted as a boy. Never had girlfriends, his main focus was the work, so it is in his character to be so reserved when it comes to express his feelings for Chakor.

What happened with Imli, this is what was out of his character.

And now there is no room for speculation anymore, coz Suraj knows the exact age of his child, so now there is no room for doubt

We can speculate as much as we want now, we will keep going into circles becoz the makers are in no mood to clear any loophole, instead they are making matters worse

I think the next bachcha crap track will determine what exactly is love accoording to Suraj and for whom he has that ???

Either for Chakor or Imli...

I am probably mad - but I still strongly believe there is a back story to the bachua story. With Ragini giving medicines to make KN mad - there could be something that makes Suraj believe it's his child or it could be - he knows who the father is and is protecting Imli!
I'll hold out till the second bachua track ends and if it's not cleared up I'll give up - I promise!
Claudia you and I are impossible idealists..romantics whatever!
Part of me feels the whole topic came up again - to clear the original misconception- otherwise cvs are really too insensitive to bring it up again!
I also think Suraj may have clarified his feelings to imli during the car conversation and we may see that in flashback!

Claudia and Priya.. your optimism is inspiring. especially you priya. if there is indeed a backstory behind night out in car Suraj won't look this insignificant to me as he has been doing since. though it will still rankle for a long time.

apologies for not adding to the wonderful discussions. i am done talking about Suraj.
as Munna Bhai would say.. ab iske gol gol baat karne se kya fayda jad center mein baat vahich hai!

the fact at the center of the matter is... this is not the man i envisaged and signed up for.

he is just.. i dunno know.. just there.
him walking back into haveli on Chakor's merit (going by WU) is another nail in the coffin. everybody else has to do his work for him. be it physical, intellectual and even emotional.
and barring few rare occasions of brilliance... he is just plonked there.

and i am left wondering why on the earth i am rooting for this guy?
take VJ out and what is there to root for? those few odd flashes of brilliance. is it worth it?

so i will zip it. let me know when he will start delivering even a fraction of what i thought he was capable of. and i will start talking again.

till then gonna follow your wonderful discussions albeit silently. but with lots of love and admiration.

Nimi - I need something to keep me going and keep clutching at straws I guess. As you rightly said if there is no back story Suraj's character is unacceptable to me & I will stop watching!
I am completely aligned on your assessment of Suraj in your writing!
On a side note - I read the note on your reading list and it's very similar to mine...except I love Wuthering Heights. I just can't help it...and won't defend it as it's not defendable really...but let's say I have a certain fascination and sympathy for Heathcliff's character.

Love ur post Priya I agreed the whole bacuva topic come up again ..to clear the all misunderstanding.that's why I have been tolerating all bacuva crap...let see this actual testing time of suraj's love...chakor or imli..😛. As well as cv is not fool to bring this crap.. cv is really brilliant..here is going to happen that double revelation will come out...😛

Guys I have a seriousb doubt here . Suraj even n yday episode told teju that chakor doesn't like him his habits his dressing his likes and everything . Then how he become so confidentbthatbhe even planned their wedding in front if all basti ppl . He s not even tensed that chakor might reject the proposal !?

I am hopelessly wishing that usko oata chala that chakor too love him only then he can fight for her na
