So here's the thing, I'm still hoping that something is going to change and they're not going to end up going with a Suraj/Chakor pairing or something's been lost in translation somewhere and this is not where the story is headed.
Here's the thing, you can be a fan of whatever actor you want to be but the story here is about the characters. Suraj is evil, he's through and through evil, why would anyone want him with Chakor. I cannot see a kid who's so power hungry, that terrorized a young child, is now terrorizing other young children, making them into child soldiers for his and his father's evil ends, will suddenly grow up and be changed by the love a good woman. That's the most ridiculous story a show like Udaan could tell and I'm sorry but I had higher expectations.
This is TV, yes, and whatever goes on TV in some people's minds, but this show is meant to be about social issues. While it's strayed every once in a while in it's mission and topic a love story between the female lead of the show with the one character that has been pretty much written as the future antagonist of the show from the beginning when there are two other male characters on the canvas already that would be much better suited for the role of romantic partner for our lead is ludicrous.
I like VK and think he could be really good in a negative role like Suraj's but if that's the role he's playing, a pretty and popular face shouldn't be the only prerequsite for him now automatically being paired with the female lead. He can still be a successful and impressive character on the canvas without being paired with the female lead.
They did it in Veera, and I don't think Baldev was nearly as awful as Suraj has been, but it was excruciating to watching this supposed love story between these two people when all it was was this toxic abusive thing. I would hope that Udaan was better than that.
Love/hate stories are fine but this is not a case of love/hate stories. Look at all the things that Suraj has done to both Imli and Chakor, to her friends, to her family, and so far he's only been a teenager. What is he going to be like 10 years from this point? He's also shown zero respect for his own mother! This is the guy people want the female lead with and this is the guy that the writers are pairing the female lead with? How does that make any sense?!
I'll say it again, a person that's been raised to be an entitled, power hungry, misogynistic jerk for his whole life does not wake up one morning, or even after several mornings, and change. To suggest on a show like this that Chakor can change a human being like that because she falls in love is ridiculous. There's no way.
