Ed Westwick: 'Rob Patz and I should play brothers'

Ed Westwick has kidded that he and fellow Brit Robert Pattinson should star as siblings in the next instalment of the Twilight saga.

'Me and Rob Pattinson should play brothers,' he joshed.

The 23-year-old plays billionaire playboy Chuck Bass in the hit series Gossip Girl. He created a buzz when he remarked that Twilight star Kristen Stewart, Pattinson's rumoured off-screen squeeze, wasn't his type.

'I don't know why that all went crazy,' he told PopSugar. 'I'd love to clear that up. I think she's a great, great, great girl, who's gorgeous and talented, and I don't know what the hell happened.'

Westwick added that playing the suave and Machiavellian Bass is 'a lot of fun'.
