you took the words right outta my mouth. as far as i know, a 17 year old talks on the phone, goes shopping, hangs out with her friends bella is as interesting as a tree. she has no life outside her Vampire Boyfriend. she is terrible with no personality and a backbone and is ridiculously pathetic. being stuck in her head for 4 and half books is exhausting. i don't know a single teen with traits of a 30 year old, cooks, cleans, and takes care of her father! i just don't have enough words to describe how much i hate her. how can smeyer create a character like that??!!! is she anti feminist? as a women i would like to read books with women empowerment and a strong female characters. thats why love L.J smiths books. not only is her writing better but she has strong female protogonist who u can relate to and definitly root for.Originally posted by: Ambrosia
Apart from the fact that she chose Edward over Jake I dislike almost everything about her. She calls herself a feminist yet she can't go on without a man in her life. All she does is cooks and cleans, which is okay but it's they way she does it like there's something wrong if she doesn't.
She always had the oppurtunity to get herself out of the situations she has created, but always has Edward or Jake to save her at the last minute. She's like a princess from a fairytale. In that she has little personality, does nothing but swoon and get rescued, and always ends up with the guy at the end.At times during the book I do honestly try to relate to her, or feel sorry for her. But it is bad that I wished Edward wasn't there when Tyler nearly crushed her with his car. It's impossible to like her.
