^ Claire de lune isn't part of the Twilight soundtrack. It's a Claude Debussy composition but I do agree - it is amazing creation. However, I felt it out of place in the movie clip. It doesn't suit the Twilight theme. Furthermore, clair de lune doesn't have a dance beat to it - it just looked odd in the promo clips. I wish they picked some other song that wasn't based on merely including the words "moonlight".
The only song I really like in the whole soundtrack is "Flightless Bird, American Mouth". I'd say, without a doubt, it's the best of the bunch and actually reflects Twilight as does "Leave Out All the Rest". "Leave Out All The Rest" and "Eyes on Fire" are also decent. I really didn't expect "Eyes on Fire" to be this good.
"Decode" by Paramore is okay, I suppose. The Muse song really doesn't have the Twilight feel to it, neither does "Go All The Way (Into the Twilight)" other than the lyrics "twilight". The song by Mutemath was pretty good but again, had nothing to do with Twilight. The rest are below average. Not something I'd listen to ever again. "Never Think" was disappointing. Robert is somewhat decent but I've heard better artistes on YouTube. That may be due to his anomalous articulation which I particularly found hard to follow but I was not impressed. Someone with classic folk tastes might appreciate it more than me, most likely. My major beef is with Bella's lullaby; it was meant to be a romantic song by Edward not an orchestra.
Overall though, I was disappointed and wouldn't rate it higher than a 4/10. Most of the soundtracks don't really reflect what Twilight is. I'm sure that some of the Twi-hards I know and don't know could have come up with a soundtrack better befitting Twilight. I'd say, if you buy the soundtrack without keeping Twilight in mind, you might enjoy it better than you would if you bought keeping Twilight in mind.
