Taming the Shrew Take 16: Rhea is 18 going on 30
Why does Rhea have a computer or phone? Did she get a job and earn the money? Does she pay for it herself? Does she buy her own clothes, shoes, make-up, etc?
If everything is handed to her, how can she value anything?
If she didn't show any appreciation to Veer for providing all that she has, how can she be proud of it?
Rhea has been raised in a world where she had to think only of herself, she was not given chores to do, not given responsibility, not held accountable ... all she had to do was ask what she needed and Veer provided it to her.
Even now, at Rathore Mansion, I have never seen Rhea do a single chore. We have seen Ayaan polish his shoes, clean his room, arrange the furniture in his room, and willing to help his mom, Pakhi. But have we ever seen Rhea willing to do any chore for any one?
How can she feel valuable as a person if she doesn't do these things?
How can she be proud of herself if she does nothing to be proud of?
If she receives, but never serves, or does not express gratitude how will she learn to appreciate the good in others. Hers is a sad and lonely life indeed ...
Rhea's ... rude sassy behavior is about creating distance between herself and others... It is a cry for help, for love ... ...
The truth is she was never really given tools or support ... just stuff ...
She doesn't need excuses made for her, that is not what I am saying ... but that is what Pakhi said in fewer words to Girish and Veer.
