I was reading comments on the article

One comment captured my eye

What has happened to the lovely woman who loved Pakhi and made her son go all the way to Singapore to win back his wife!!!!! Talk of character assassination... Devki's character has been royally butchered by the CVs.

do you think that her character is changed ? mean u saw one woman and now she is different from what we got to know???

i asked so ill reply 1st...

in my opinion, 1st of all this woman was thrown out of the house by her husband what was the reason ?? was she a perfect wife that her husband was not fair to her and he throw her out??

I saw many people who u can call a snake .. those who would be nice for you, care for u, show they love you but the reality would be different, i mean they would change their behavior just after the death of some one closer to you, may b they wanted to be good to you just to show to him ??? did u hear about people wearing mask ???? also ... what if the accident of ANSHUMAN was planned by her?? mean every one saying it was an accident so what if it was not accident but was a murder ??? why would she change ? why would she protect her son ? why would she hate paakhi if all claim she loved her ?

it makes sense if she

wanted to get all the wealth of anshuman, she did not find another way to so... knowing paakhi is in singapur, she sent her son to go find her, she knew where he was and then sent her people to kill him (seeing so many shows i can see people planning murders of others, doing it outside so no one would doubt them)

who could doubt her ??? NO one because she was the mother

but where was she all those 25+ years ?? why she never came back ??

she came back after realizing that her family became rich family soo ... now she wants their money ...this is anuja we see today.

she does not love ayaan but wants him

why ???????????

can't say.. because we don't know much about her.. may be she is always doing what she want..as when her husband thrown her out ..she never come back..and never want to know about her kids..she lived her life own with a new name Anuja... this is quite possible that she is good when people good with her but she becomes evil when people showing their disagreement with her..as per this show she has always been very nice with Pakhi ..till when Pakhi said No to her plan about Aaryaman.. if Pakhi marry to Aaryaman may be she was still nice with her... i saw people like her. till when u say yes to them or showing your support to them no matter what they saying they r very sweet to u..but when u say u r wrong or i m not agree with u they behaving very different way...

they have no guts to accept No.. some where they r scare to being wrong.. they know they r wrong but their ego never let them accept it..so prove them self right they can do anything..

and as saying people change by time..this phrase can't be wrong completely.. we all change by time..negative or positive is another aspect.. so u never know...

No I don't think her character is being butchared because since the begining she has been shady . We saw glimpses of it, that I mentioned before. Where she turned on Pakkhi in an instant when she found that they mailed her letter.
She was willing for them to get put out on the street and she quickly told the land lord they were nothing to her.
She was angry at Anshuman when he shared with her that he was suspecting his brother... She threaten to leave the house.
Same with Veer she fought Pakkhi for him to stay now he is her worst enymy.
It also showed in the way she treated the servants when she first got there... her whole attitude.
The woman is selfish and only likes people when they are doing things she wants.

Definitely. 🤢 She was a very nice woman but after Anshuman's death she looks like someone else. 😕 It looks like all the nice act was done purposely for some reason. 😕 I miss Anuja because Devki is a monster. 🤢

I don't think her character has been butchered. I think she has always been this way but is more confident in showing it to others now.

but truly in life , we meet many people who claim they love us and as soon things changing, they show us their real face , that's sad but it happens in life,

i m watching the show from the start and where i m now, she did not enter yet (paakhi trying to win ayaan's love and make him call both of them his parents... so i guess long time to go to see her entry), but reading the comments and seeing her dramas since veer's entry, i don't trust this woman, the biggest proof that she is always bad woman is her husband who throw her out

may b ill get my answers when her entry will happen in the story

if u do what she wants u to do... she loves u and all is well

once u say no to her and say to her u r wrong ,,,, well the real face comes out !!! that's what i see in this woman, this is so true !

Of course many people hide their personality and act like mother Theresa then show their true colors. I have seen so many like her.

But Anuja was shown as a fun loving person, very modern, open minded with a painful story, and a lovely woman. Paakhi, the other roommate and Anuja were like true friends yaar. They supported each other and had so much fun. When Aryaman entered we thought she is maybe not the real mother and is just acting for money. But CVs never showed us that instead they are showing her evilness. If she was like this before too and that's why Anshu's father threw her out then I am 100% with him but at least show us that. For now we have an Anuja and a Devki that's why it looks like they ruined the character. At least let us know that she never meant to be nice (what was her intentions) then I can say she was fake from the beginning.
