Hello again! I so wanted to write daily but just couldn't get the time. Finished watching all the episodes just now & couldn't resist to write what we were shown in the first week.
The story so far is like a struggle between Paakhi's determination & dedication and Anshuman's avarice & self centered nature. The story has clearly justified the title.
So much has happened in this first week! We got the glimpse of contrast in Anshuman's lifestyle in the big city , Anshuman's caring but cut from the same cloth big sister , understanding but mild husband , fickle high society and Pakhi's uncomplicated living , naive & simple kins & traditional beliefs .
The sort of relationship Pakhi shares with her family particularly with her niece is very heartwarming. What I really loved about the show is contrary to the regular *bojh* nonsense , Pakhi is very dearly loved & cared and has been given freedom & independence.
Anshuman-Paakhis' scenes I would say have been the highlights. Every scene where they appeared together were ethereal , Sun-beam & waterfall scene to be particular. They one & the only thing I didn't like was how Pakhi recognized Anshuman. Alright its a great great epic love story , I get it !
Anshuman's character in my opinion is a chef-d'"uvre! Very well written. Self-centered yet silently sentient of others' emotions. Ambitious yet tender.
P.S. Symbolism wise the show holds significant importance. The first face-off, sun-beam scene , jhumka scene clearly indicate that these two individuals belong nowhere but only together. Other thing , its a good thing Anshuman disagreed to go to the temple as right now his heart is neither pure nor true & Pakhi chose Water-fall instead thats a sign of continuity , indicating their long & eternal bond.
Equally riveting are the untold mysteries. Why did Anhuman & Pakhi's father fell apart? What happened to Anshuman's second wife? Was she murdered? By whom? Anshuman? đ
It has been a great start! I'd certainly miss the great village ensemble , Pakhi's family loving brother & bhabhi & her uber cute niece. But Im equally excited to see what their marital life holds.
