Chavi quits Tumhari Disha

The show will take a 25-year leap sans its protagonist

Putting speculations to rest, Chavi Mittal has decided to quit her show Tumhari Disha.

Chavi, currently in London, says, "I feel it's too early for me to play an older woman. Perhaps five years later I will be ready to play it. But for now, I have taken the decision of leaving the show."

She continues, "I have parted on cordial terms with the production house. They understood my priorities and I am thankful for that."

Chavi has taken a bold step, considering she has no work in hand. She says, "I know I have taken a risk but I had no choice. I don't have any offers at the moment and can only hope that my decision is right. I intend to get back to work after a break."

However, the show will continue to run without the protagonist. Ashwini Yardi, Zee TV's programming head, says, "Disha's memories will be kept alive in DK's (her on-screen husband played by Ashish Nayyar) mind. Meanwhile, the story will move ahead by 25 years."

Thank u Mayaji....Killing off Dishas character is worst twist for TD...The title of the show should be changed for betterment.....Rupali should have replaced another actress in place of Chavi instead of killing D character..... 😡 🤢 Anyway the show already had spoiled by worst twists, in it this is another worst thing.....Hmmm.... I dont understand without baby of 2D's in what way the story will head after the leap.....😕

Yes Jyothi, now a leap is on the way but I also dont understand who will be in the next generation. There is no children except Rano who is pregnant now and she will get a child.

Dishas memories will be kept alive in DKs mind so we are going to see lots of flash scenes but how Rupali is thinking to take the story ahead, I dont know

Why the hell did Chavi take this stupid step, they might as well end this show. How is Rupu going to do this without the main patrongist its stupid!!!

TD is already breathing its last...what will Rupu gain out of all this...will not improve ratings...will end as planned already by Zee so why more torture.

I am glad to have our mind put to rest....we were all confused about what is going to happen..

After all Chavi's tantrums ...I do not think TD unit could have functioned with her...she had to leave...

I do not feel it would have been easy after 2 years for us to accept anyone else in the place of D isha ...the rapport(?) we saw in DK-disha ...we would look for that and not find it...so it is better ..I feel for her character to exit the show ....but

I am so glad that Disha remained DK's Disha till the end..I can take anything but not tarnishing of Man Se Man ka rishta...Thank you Rupali...for keeping 2Ds rishta intact/.
tha show has to take a leap...all the possible twists and turms with young 2Ds have been exploited....if it continues with this generation...Rupali will have to repeat tracks again ..and get gaalis from us.

Better that the next generation with fresh faces comes in ..Rupali can then create stories with them..

Rupali...do us a favour...please give our dashing, handsome, arrogant, confident DK back on his feet...I am willing to watch TD forever just for our DK.

Long Live Man Se Man Ka Rishta ...let Disha live forever in DK's heart and his mind...it is better than Disha belonging to someone else.

Now when after the title song D says "Mein thi, mein hun, mein rahungi Tumhari Disha " it will be true.

after her tantrums , her thoroughly unprofessional behaviour...No production house will want to work with her..
