It was a good episode which had some intensity ---
Today I'll share character wise what I felt
Ria - She definitely had a point about not wanting to start a relationship on the basis of a covered up truth/lie as one may call it to be. but she cannot in anyway doubt the sincerity of Abhi --- there was no instance where he did anything for her to feel that his love for her isn't true --except for the fact that he is unable to tell his folks about his love.
Rukmini - She is to me the one character in this show that I cannot relate to...I do not say that such people do not exist in today's world, but she is way too traditional even by my granny's standards.
Ria's parents - Her father looks sensible to me and her mother is again dwindling. At one point she was convinced with Abhi when he gave the ring, then she went into the lines of mistrust and cheating and looked for a rishta for her daughter through a relative, and yesterday she once again after listening to Abhi told Ria to accept the guy who loves you...will she be fine post marriage when the truth comes out and Rukmini blames her as well for keeping them in the dark. As parents of the girl it is imperative for them to begin on a note of transparancy and here I think Ria was right ... that the truth needs to be told.
Coming to Abhi - I totally love this character and if I am not mistaken I can put it in a nutshell that he is one sincere, committed and truthful guy with respect to his feelings for his loved ones. I am guessing he is not yet coming up with the truth because somewhere maybe he knows Ria isn't that strong --- she may not be able to take it if he were to speak up and the consequences get serious --- he will stand by her but I think he is taking everyone along now because he lacks the continuous and indomitable support of his love Ria. He does love his mother, and wants to keep her happy, but he DID voice his protest when cornered to accept the shagun in Meenakshi's case. I wish his love was more mature in giving him the strength. Had Ria just told him that she was willing to face the consequences of the truth and she would still be there for him, maybe he would have told his Mom about her. But Ria is definitely not that mature to take on responsibilities of a serious kind.
I still feel Abhimanyu has held the show for me till now and I want him to change in a big way to show to both his ladies ---that change could be for the better!
