Malhar's POV
It was stupid of Malhar to think that his Kaka's transfer to a new city and his joining a new college would change anything. Everything was same and why should it change when he was the same weak, ugly loser. There was only one schoolgirl who treated him like a human. Her name was Kallu and she was so sweet that sometimes Malhar felt he was imagining her. Sometimes he wondered why would a perfect girl who's the class topper and so talented and beautiful, would be so kind towards him. But he guessed, sometimes even bad luck takes pity on losers like him.
Malhar was walking, humming a song when Atharv, Deepak and his lackeys blocked his way.
"E...exc...cuse m...me? C...can you pl...ease let me g...go? Elec... Electronics ma'am is c...c...alling m...me?" Malhar said, without raising his eyes.
"Yes, sure," Atharv said, imitating Malhar's stammer, "Bb...but o...only if y...you a...ask this n...nicely without s... stammering in t...the whole sentence."
"Excuse me? Can y...you p...please...?"
"Aww...try again, Beta."
"E...excuse..."
"You stammered in the first letter, itself, poor Malhar," Atharv chuckled.
"Excuse m...me..."
"Ex...c..cuse me."
"Excuse me? C...can..."
Malhar didn't want to cry. He didn't want to cry. But why were these tears not stopping? Atharv was not even his senior to do ragging. He was also a first-year student and yet...
"P...pl...please."
"Dear Malharji. We're preparing you for life. How would you s...s..survive if you can't even speak properly? Should I call Kallu? She helps you in everything."
"Excuse me? Can you please let me g...g...g....go?"
"Oh you just made it, bad luck. Try again."
"Ex...ex....."

Malhar's POV
"S...sir. I'm so sorry," Mr. Borthakur was saying.
"Mr. Borthakur," Malhar said, taking a deep breath, "If you knew there was a bug in the program code since last week, why didn't you tell your seniors?"
"It was late at night when I found out. And next day, I had taken leave for five days."
"And what was that leave for?"
"Yes, sir?"
"Mr. Borthakur, I don't have a hobby of repeating myself again and again."
"I went to a vacation with my family," he said, hanging his head low.
"So, Mr. Borthakur," Malhar said, standing with his palms on the table, "Our company lost the chance to compete for this important contract just because you were vacationing in Mars where there were no call or messaging services to inform us of the bug."
"I'm sorry, Sir."
"I don't want your sorry, Mr. Borthakur. I just want this contract. Is there any way you can give me that?"
"No Sir."
"You are f..." Just then Nishigandha Kulkarni entered my cabin. Malhar realized that he was doing the same thing with Mr. Borthakur what she did with Mansi. So what was the difference between him and Nishigandha then? Maybe he should...
Malhar closed my eyes, and signalled Nishigandha to come later. Then softly he said, "You're fired, Mr. Borthakur."
Mr. Borthakur didn't protest and simply left the room. Malhar took out his mobile and dialled a number.
"Hi, Vishal. Malhar here. Actually, I need a favor. There's an employee in my company named Mr. Biplab Borthakur. He has the experience of 20 years and he's a good employee. Um... actually I fired him due to a mistake, but he's hardworking...can you please offer him a senior position in your startup? I mean, you need knowledgeable and experienced persons. Ok, thanks a lot. Please let me know when he joins."
Finally, when Malhar ended the call, he knew he did something which both the CEO and his older self would approve.
