I have a theory. This is purely speculation as well so take it with a grain of salt.

From what I can tell, Mosher was kidnapped 1 year after he was presumed dead. I think Aparna may have turned evil because Sampu was finally sent to jail for all her crimes, so I'm sure she is still in jail. Her husband Vaaman was a criminal as well, he was also a child trafficker and terrorist, so it is possible she can get into the same business.

I think she may have coincidentally seen Moksh with the Mehras at some point and realized that Moksh isn't dead. Sampu is still in jail so I feel like she is not involved in all of this.

I feel like Aparna may have wanted to keep Moksh away from everyone to get revenge on Malhar.

Sampu involvement may come later.

But main question is what made her become a child trafficker rather than go back to the Deshmukhs? Unless Deshmukhs turned her away and said that they no wanted her and her daughter in their house.
