A few days had passed with him completely ignoring Kalyani. Though she tried talking to him but he not even spared a glance at her.

So finally today, kalyani put on her binoculars and looked at his balcony!

K: arey aa bhi jao bahar!

Well his house was not that far that she would need binoculars but to get a feel of spy she used them!

A few moments later he indeed came out in his balcony with a phone in his one hand and coffee in the other hand!

K: yes!

As her eyes stopped on him she instantly threw her binoculars aside and started her first class acting of struggling with the bicycle!

K: Kalyani you can do it! Tujhe koi help karega.. You have to do it alone.

She was purposely saying it loud so that it goes in his ears and after a minute his eyes dropped on her and as he looked at her she acted like she was going to fall! His eyes popped out!

M: kalyani!

He shouted and instantly went down leaving his coffee and phone!

And she seeing this much concern even when he was angry, got super happy!
He came to her all the way running from his room and held her cycle , his one hand was on steering and other on the back of cycle! He was firmly holding it.

M: kalyani jab tumhe cycle chalani aati nahi hai to kisi ki help leni thi na!

K: par mai kiski help leti malhar? Aayi ne mana kardiya aur baba ne bhi aur tum bhi toh naaraaz the na!

M: accha toh iska matlab yeh hai ki tum akele musibat se uljhogi? Ek baar pucha toh hota mana thodi na karta mai!

K: sacchi?

Her inner excitement came out but she managed to hide to somehow!

K: nahi mera matlab hai ki tum gusse mei the isliye meri baat bhi nahi suni us din park mei! Toh mujhe laga hamari dosti khatm hogayi

M: kalyani is sab ki wajah tum hi ho! Agar tum woh sab nahi kehti to aisa kuch nahi hota!

K: kya galat kaha maine? Apne dil ki baat batana koi galat baat hoti hai kya?

M: kalyani chillana band karo log dekh rahe hai!

K: kyu band karu huh? Tum sunte bhi ho koi baat pyar se batane par!

He looked here and there to see people watching!

M: dekho kalyani ham is baare mei shaam ko baat karenge jab mai police station se aa jaunga!

K: pakka? Puri baat sunoge na?

She asked and he nodded in yes! And she smiled in happiness! But her happiness was Short lived as her friend Palak came.

P: kalyani tujhe toh scooty tak chalani aati hai to Tu..

She got confused to see a pro bicycler taking help of Malhar.

He as soon as heard that pushed the bicycle making her fall and went away!

K: ouch! Teri tohh

She chased Palak on her bicycle!

K: bewakoof kahi ki! Thodi der apna muh nahi band rakh sakti thi! Huh? Tu toh gayi aaj.

That night she went to his house! Welcomed by her mother!

MM: beta malhar to abhi aaya nhi tum uske room mei jaa ke wait karlo.

K: nhi aunty mai yahi wait karlungi

K(in mind): ek to waise hi gussa hai kya pata room mei dekhke aur bhadak jaaye.

With that she sat on the sofa and waited!
After sometime he arrived and as usual ignored her.

K: dekho malhar ab bohot ho raha hai! Itna bhav kha na accha nhi hai.

M: aayi aap ise kahiye mujhe isse koi baat nhi karni

Kalyani stood up on the sofa and made him turn towards her.

K: Tum ACP hoge apne police station mei yaha nhi! Itne din se dekh rahi hu muh fula ke rakha hai! Na toh khud baat karni hai na mujhe karne dete ho! Aise kaise chalega huh?

M: kalyani utro neeche aur yaha tamasha mat karo.

MM: Malhar uski baat ek baar sun toh lo.

And he sighed.

M: ok fine

And he went to his room followed by a happy kalyani!

M: bolo kya bolna hai.

He said the moment they entered!

K: bolna nhi puchna hai! Ki meri galti kya hai? Kyu tum itne naaraaz ho? Kya apne dil ki baat batana galat baat hai? Tumhe pata hai bachpan se sirf tum mere dost rahe ho aur hero bhi woh wala hero jo heroine ko har musibat se bachata hai. Hamesha khud se pucha ki aisa kya hai tumme! Boarding school mei bhi jab sab girls ke boyfriends hote the tab sirf tumhare baare mei sochti thi ki tum kaise hoge kya kar rahe hoge aur jab jaake teh ehsaas hua hai ki mai tumse pyaar karti hu toh duniya aur acchi lagne legi lekin sirf tumhare saath. Isme meri kya galti ki mai thoda aur jaldi paida nhi hui huh? Toh kya isse mera pyaar kam hojayega? Malhar pyaar kiya thodi na jata hai bas apne aap ho jata hai and i really really love you!

M: dekho kalyani ye sirf infatuation hai joh ki teenagers mei common hai! Tum kucch dino mei mujhe bhul jaogi i know toh is sab ka kya fayda?

Fresh tears formed in her eyes and she instantly left his place.

It's been a week since they had talked after that night. Her behavior towards him has completely changed! At start he was angry and now she was angry on him and that too because of his words!

But that was right for her only! How can she love him? It's not right? And not any romantic novel where they will have a happily after if he agreed, it was reality, where they have to face a society who won't accept there relationship!

But making her understand all this was a big job which he didn't want to even try because there's no gain in that.

He sighed as he once again looked at a fierce kalyani who was eating her favorite halwa made by his mother before turning to go to his room or else she would not be there.

One fine night he went to her house with some laddoos and handed them to her mother anupriya.

M: aunty kalyani kaha hai?

Just as he asked kalyani came out of kitchen with a bowl full of strawberries.

K: kyu kucch kaam hai aapko?

M: woh mujhe tumse kucch baat karni thi..

K: nhi mujhe nhi karni koi baat, aayi inse ka ho ye chale jaye yaha se.

He got angry listening this. How can his baby girl talk like that with him! He out of anger held her hand and dragged.

M: aunty mai isko thodi der mei ghar drop kardunga

K: chodo mujhe

She tried getting her hand free but he was too strong for her!

Malhar took kalyani in his old ancestral house' roof top!

K: kya hai yaha kyu laaye ho mujhe?

M: kalyani itni berukhi! Tum toh aise behave kar rahi ho jaise is sab mei galti meri hai ki Maine tumhare pyaar ko accept nahi kiya!

He said in the most calm tone ever.

K: kaash aisa hota! But Mr. Malhar Rane aisa nahi hai! Tumne toh usi din mana kardiya tha jab maine tumse i love u kaha tha but mai toh tumhe mana hi rahi thi na but tumne kya kiya? Mere pyaar ko hi galat thehra diya! Kya.. kya kaha tha tumne? Ki yeh pyaar nhi infatuation hai jo kucch dino mei khatm hojayega! Toh ab tum mujhe batoge ki mai tumse pyaar karti hu ya nhi? Huh?

Her outburst shocked him! He instantly hugged her! He heard her sobs when he hugged her!

M: I am sorry kalyani! But mujhe laga ki mera tumse dur rehna behtar hoga isliye woh sab kaha but chah ke bhi zada din ke liye nhi kar paya!

He broke the hug an looked at her in eyes!

M: us din mai tayaar nhi tha is sab ke liye but aaj mai janna chahta hu..

She looked at him confused

M: mai janna chahta hu ki pyar kya hota hai? Kya tumhari ki naraazgi ko bardaash na kar pana pyar hai? Kya tumhe hamesha sirf khush dekhna ke baare mei sochna pyaar hai? Kya tumhari fikr karna pyaar hai? Kalyani bolo na, kya ise pyaar kehte hai? Aur agar yeh pyaar hai toh haan mai tumse bohot pyaar karta hu, aaj se nahi balki hamesha se..

She hugged as she heard him!

K: i love you too Malhar hamesha se!

M: pata hai, us din yeh bhi bataya tha tumne!

They then comfortably sat on the floor close to each other.

M: kalyani mere saath zindagi asaan nhi hogi, in fact bohot mushkil hogi aur ho sakta hai khatarnaak bhi. Kya tab bhi de paogi mera saath tum?

He asked putting his hand in front of her.

K: kisi ne kaha hai ye ishq nahi asaan bas samajh lijiye ek aag ka dariya hai aur doob ke jana h..

M: kalyani mai mazaak nhi kar raha hu!

K: toh maine kab mazaak kiya?

He put his hand in his pocket and looked away.

K: aww! Itni jaldi gussa..

She kissed his cheek and put her head on his shoulder.

M: mai tumhare saath hu, hamesha!

He smiled at her and sighed in relief! Just a moment of togetherness before the battle with the society gets started.
