It was the college fest where Anupriya and Kalyani had set up their stall of sarees. After all that drama with Atharv and Sampada, they both were back to business.
It was around 1 in the afternoon.
" Aai, Malhar ji kyu nahi aaye abhi tak? She asked to her aai.
" Mujhe kaise pata hoga Kalyani, tumhara pati hai toh tum call karke puch lo. She replied.
" Mujhe sher ke muh mein haath daalne mein koi interest nhi hai aai. Chalo abhi tum thoda rest karo, main stall dekh lungi. Kalyani said.
" Kalyanii, Malhar tumhara pati hai, koi raakshas nahi jisse tum itna darti ho. Anupriya spoke up.
" Aai, tum kuch bhi keh lo, call to main ahi karne waali. Kalyani refuted.
" Kisko call karna hai? A voice came from behind, Kalyaani closed her eyes in irritation.
" Atharv, mujhe na kya lagta hai ki tumhe mazaa aane laga hai apni insult karane mein. Tabhi to tum har baar muh uthaye mere ya Malharji ko irritate karne ke liye aa jaate ho apni iss sidekick ke saath. Kalyaani said, referring to Sampada.
" Kalyaani, tumhaari himmat kaise hui mujhe yeh bulaane ki? Sampada shouted.
" Chilla kyu rahi ho Sampada? Mujhe sunaai deta hai, behera nahi hai yahan koi. Kalyaani said sternly.
" Kallu, tum shaayad bhul gayi ho ki hum yaha ke chief guest hain. Tameez se baat karo varna suspend kara dunga tumhe. Atharv threatened.
" Arharv please, yeh dhamki na jaa kar kisi aur ke dena jo tumse darr jaye. Kalyaani said rolling her eyes.
Both the jokers got speechless and left.
It was now an hour since both of them had left and the sarees were being sold off at a good pace when Kirtan, Kalyaani's and Anupriya's batchmate came to them.
" Kalyaani, Sampada mam is calling you to the gaming section. He said.
" Kirtan, bandariya ko itni respect mat de. Kalyaani said and Anupriya giggled.
" Yaar sahi mein dono ki Jodi bahut sahi hai, bandar and bandariya. Pata nahi kahan se yeh youth icon hain. Hum sab toh hans rahi hai. Kirtan said.
" Par Kalyaani, vo tumhe kyu bula rhi hai? Main bhi chalti hoon. Anupriya said.
" Aai, tum tension kyu leti ho? Main hoon na, un dono ki band mein akele hi baja sakti hoon. Kalyaani replied.
" Theek hai, par dhyaan rakhna. She said hesitantly.
Kalyaani reached to the gaming zone.
There Sampada challenged her to play all the games with with and compete. All the games were won by Kalyaani.
The last one though, the most interesting one was supposed to be played in couples. It was the same shooting game.
" Ab kya karegi Kalyaani Sampu? Atharv mocked her.
" Kalyaani, Malhar to aaya nahi, ab kya karogi tum? Sampada asked.
" Ab kya karegi bechari, side mein khade hone ke alawa koi option bhi to nahi hai na Kallu ke paas. Atharv said.
" Sirf zabaan hi chalti hai ya thode bahut haath bhi kaam karte hain? A voice sang in the background.
It was Kalyaani's Malharji.
" Kaun hai be? Atharv asked arrogantly.
" Baapat ka baad Rane. Malhar said.
Kalyaani giggled. By that time, Anupriya had reached there too.
" Bahauuu... Atharv said.
" Atharv, mera dil aa gaya hai uss kamar bandh par. Game jeet kar mujhe who laa do. Sampada sang.
" Kalyaani, wo kamar bandh tum par bahut sunder lagega. Chahiye? Malhar asked his wife.
Kalyaani was too stunned to say anything. She just nodded.
" Malhar ji ki tabiyat to theek hai na? She questioned herself.
Atharv and Malhar aimed at the target, despite the cheating that Sampada had set up, Malhar was bang on whereas Atharv was nowhere near the target.
" Yehhh...Malhar ji jeet gaye!! Kalyaani shouted and was about to hug him but suddenly realized what she was doing and stopped herself mid way.
Atharv was fuming with anger and left. Sampada followed suit.
" Wah ACP Sahab, aapne finally dono ka ego khatam kiya. Kitni der se yahan dadagiri kar rahe the. Ab yeh kamar bandh aap hi Kalyaani ko apne haathon se pehenaiye. Kalyaani's friend, Kripa said.
" Nahi nahi, paagal waagal ho gayi hai kya Kripa? Kalyaani bluntly refused.
" Areee, kya nahi? Malhar, pehena do Kalyaani ko. Anupriya said.
" Aai, tum kuch bhi keheti rehti ho na. Kalyaani said, walking towards her Aai.
Then Anupriya indicated Malhar in her super sign eye language.
Malhar agreed immediately and started walking towards Kalyaani with the kamar bandh in his hand.
Kalyaani was utterly confused and shocked that Malhar was walking towards her.
Unable to bear the proximity she would face while he would make her wear the kamar bandh, she ran away.
YES, THE GIRL LITERALLY RAN AWAY.
Here Malhar was in some kind sense of victory feeling because he knew why Kalyaani had run away.
She was very affected by him when he came close to her. He had noticed this a couple of times. He was smirking.
" Malhar, tum bura mat manna. Kalyaani thodi bewakoof hai. Anupriya said.
" Thodi? Malhar said, raising one of his eyebrow to which both of them laughed.
Malhar kept the kamar bandh in his pocket.
Kalyaani, ultimately you will have to come to our room. Then how will you run away, Malhar thought.
Later in the evening after the fair was over, Anupriya and Kalyaani reached back to home.
" Aai, aaj sach mein kitna mazaa aaya na? Kalyaani said.
" Kalyaani, tumne aaj jo bachpana kiya hai na, usse yeh saabit ho gaya hai ki tum poori bewakoof ho. Anupriya said, sitting her head lightly.
" Ab maine kya kar diya Aai? She asked.
" Wo tumhe Malhar hi batayega. Ab jao. She said.
Kalyaani was utterly confused as to what her Aai was saying.
She walked towards her room. There, pillu was playing in his cot.
" Pillu, dekh mai aa gayi. She said, picking Pillu up and twirling him in the air. He laughed.
" Ab tu yaha khel. Main 2 minute mein change kar ke aati hoon. She said and laid Pillu in his cot.
Then she went towards her wardrobe to take her nightsuit out. As she finally selected what to wear and turned, she was Malhar standing in front of her.
Too close to her liking.
" M...ma...Mal...Malhaaarjjii. Kalyaani stuttered.
Her goes down the drain all her plans to avoid Malhar.
" Kalyaani, mera naam itna lamba nahi hai. He said.
" Aaj yeh kya kar rahe hain? She asked.
" Wahi, jo Maai ne fair mein karne ke liye kaha tha. Malhar said and took out the kamar bandh out of his pocket.
" Malharji, main khud pehen lungi. She tried to oppose.
" Kyu? Kya problem hai agar main pehna doon to?He asked.
" Ki aapke itne paas aane se kuch hota hai jo aaj tak kabhi nahi hua. She muttered.
" Kya bol rahu ho Kalyaani? Saaf saaf bolo. He ordered.
" Ku...ku..kuch nahi Malharji, kuch bhi to nahi. She said.
Malhar gave her THE LOOK and started walking towards her. She tried running away again but this time, the door was locked and Malhar had finally managed to hold her by her waist.
Kalyaani was continuously moving.
" Hilna band karogi tum? Ho kya raha hai tumhe? Malhar asked, despite knowing that his closeness affected her.
" Kuch kuch ho raha hai. Aap nahi samjhenge. Kalyaani said.
Malhar rolled his eyes at her Bollywood connection again.
" Accha, main nahi samjhoonga? Aur tumhe kaise pata? He asked.
" Bas pata hai, keh diya na, bas pata hai. Kalyaani said, making another Bollywood reference.
" Kalyaani, agar ek baar aur tumne dialogues maare na to accha nahi hoga. Malhar said and finally started tying the kamar bandh.
" Malharji...pleasee. She said.
" Bolo Kalyaani. He said.
Kalyaani pushed his a bit just to make space for her to run.
" Kalyaani ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, naamumkin hai. She said and climbed up the bed.
" Kalyaani, kya bola tha maine? " Malhar said and pulled Kalyaani down.
Now she knew that she was into trouble.
" Malharji...main Pill uke liye doodh le ke aati hoon. She said.
" Moksh doodh pee chuka hai Kalyaani. Malhar whispered into Kalyaani's ears huskily.
I looked at Pillu who had fallen asleep.
Now Malhar did put the kamar bandh on Kalyaani's waist, touching her in this process. She shivered.
Malhar smirked.
He was finally done but had no intension of leaving Kalyaani's waist. He was tracing patterns all over it.
" Mal...Malhaarjii ye...yeh aap k...kyyaa kar rahe haiiin? Kalyaani mumbled.
" Apni patni ko apne ehsaas se comfortable kara raha hoon Kalyaani, jisse wo har baad mere saamne aane se pehele conscious na ho. Malhar said.
Kalyaani had no words to speak now. She was tomato red with all her blushing. Unable to maintain eye contact with Malhar, she looked down shyly.
He then picked her up in bridal style and placed her on the bed.
" Mal...Malhaarjiii. She said.
" He placed a finger on her lips.
" Chup. Ekdum chup. Kitna bolti ho tum. Thakti nhi? He asked.
Kalyaani nodded negatively. She looked so innocent.
" Kya tum mujhe ek chance dogi sab sudhaarne ka? Ek nayi shuruwaat karne ka? Mahar asked.
Kalyaani was stunned by the question. She was staring at her Malharji.
" Kya? He asked.
" Mhh. She indicated to let her speak.
" Bolo na. Malhar said.
And boy, once she started, the talks were never ending.
" Malharji, I was never angry at you and of couse we can start a new, forgetting the past as long as Pillu is with me and you stop using this creative brain of yours in inventing innovative punishments for me, and... She continued and continued and continued.
After more than 5 minutes, Malhar was irritated.
To shut Kalyaani up, he placed his lips on hers. Kalyaani's eyes widened.
Before she could anticipate what just happened with her, Pillu cried.
" Areee mera Pillu uth gaya. She said and went to his cot.
She cooed him and got him to bed, then he made him sleep in between her and Malhar.
" Wo...wo...apne? She started but Malhar did not let her continue it.
" Ab inta bolti ho tum to koi kya kar satka hai. Tumhe chup karane ke liye karna pada. Malhar said boldly and Kalyaani blushed deep red.
Finally, the two of them slept peacefully with their Moksh in between and had the most peaceful sleep in months.
