I am back again with the next update! Thanks to all those who commented! I really enjoyed reading those and those lovely comments have encouraged me to write out this part. Also if there are any silent readers of my fan fic I encourage them to also leave some comments as these comments are very beneficial and motivational for a writer. Scene 10
"Tum mere dil mein kabhi jaga nahi banaa paaoge'Haan, hogayaa hai mujhe tumse pyaar'Mujhe tumse koi farq nahi parta'Wahaan kamre mein itne saare log the; mujhe unse koi farq nahi para, par mujhe tumse far para'"
These dialogues kept going on and on'Vrinda's rejection at first, Vrinda's disbelief towards love and finally her heart, which fell for him'the only one- Yug. Suddenly he could not take it anymore, so squeezing his eyes and taking off the blankets, Yug got up to shut those thoughts.
The clock struck 12 o'clock. Not 12 in the morning, as the sun was shining brightly through the window; probably 12 in the afternoon. Afternoon?! Room?! What is happening. Yug frantically looked around, trying to recognize where he was. What had happened? All he remembered was last night; the time when he had seen Rajbeer and Vrinda together and gone to drink alcohol in misery. Yes, he was drinking a lot of alcohol but what about Mr. Malhotra's meeting? What had happened? Yug couldn't think properly and when he tried, his head ached very much. Yug felt his head and found out a tight bandage wrapped around his skull; this got him even more curious.
Just then a nurse stepped in his room and saw him; she ran and came in 2 seconds later with a doctor and Bharti.
Yug: Bharti where am I? What happened? I am getting very worried.
Bharti: Please Please try to relax sir. You are not recovered. Actually yesterday you were drunk and wanted to drive home by yourself. I um'tried to stop you but well you told me to cancel the meeting while you drive back. So'um'as I was cancelling I got a phone call saying you have had an accident and'(Bharti was hesitant to tell the rest but Yug got on to the meaning).
Yug: Vrinda! Vrinda had an accident to right?! I remember'no! where is she?
The doctor saw Yug getting hyper so he told the nurse to give him an injection to make him sleep for a while.
Doctor: (To Bharti) I will make him sleep some more so he can handle the bad news we have to break to him. Anyways, in all the hurry last night from the accident I forgot to ask you all of your relationships with each other. From the way Mr. Yug is behaving for Ms. Vrinda, I can tell these two are very close to each other right?
Bharti:(agreeing in pain) Yes Sir.
Doctor: And what about you Madam?
Bharti: (hiding back the tears in her eyes) I am his secretary doctor.
Scene 11 (Hospital)
Yug opens his eyes slowly after a deep sleep and notices the sun is setting. He can't believe he slept the whole afternoon. The doctor enters and smiles to see him awake.
Doctor: My you look much better now. It seems like your bruises are also healing. You will probably be all set in 2-3 days.
Yug: (impatiently) Look doctor I understand your concern but right not nothing is more important to me than Vrinda. Please tell me she is ok right?
Doctor: Come with me Mr. Yug and I will show you.
The doctor leads Yug first to a room, with a patient lying down with the covers up. Yug notices people crying heavily over the body.
Yug: Who is that doctor?
Doctor: Slide the covers down and see for yourself.
Yug starts shivering and heads over to the body. He feels his heart is being pounded down as he holds the cover and yanks it off'
Yug gets a sudden attack when he sees what is in front of him. Just then Teji and Frieda enter and blankly stare at Yug.
Frieda: How are you Yug?
Yug: (stuttering) I am fine but'how'I mean'this'how could it be? Are you sure?
Teji: Yug everything is confirmed. There is not much to say. Rajbeer is dead. He is no more. He died instantly from the accident last night. The doctor phoned us and we immediately came here. This is all Rajbeer's family; you've never met them.
Yug gets tensed by Teji's words. He seems to be very hurt and angry.
Yug: But how did this happen? I am very worried.
Teji in a bad mood, storms off outside. Yug gets even more worried by his behavior.
Frieda: Actually Yug last night Bharti said you were driving drunk and the way the police found your car and Rajbeer's car in an accident close by, they are saying you probably bumped into them while driving with not proper concentration.
Yug felt a knife cut his heart. Could Frieda be right? Of course! He had been thinking about Vrinda and Rajbeer while driving last night. But he could not believe he was the one to cause the accident! He had murdered Rajbeer indirectly?! No, if this was true Yug would never be able to forgive himself.
Frieda: Look Yug don't blame yourself this harshly; the police are still investigating. Actually last night we all got very worried. The doctor said your case was not that bad as your car had landed in a forest and had stopped naturally by bumping in a tree. Rajbeer and Bharti's car spun around the road very violently and then fell of a small cliff on the side. Rajbeer died on the spot but Vrinda's case is still not clear. She has been in coma all night.
Yug felt his heart shiver.
Yug: How is she now? Where is she?
Hesitantly Frieda leads Yug to Vrinda's room. She tells him that Bharti has informed DB and VA about all of this and they will be arriving Lucknow by the night time as it's a long distance to here from where they live. Yug is only half listening to Frieda's words. For him, the biggest concern is Vrinda. After he had seen Rajbeer's burnt face under the blanket he has developed an even bigger fear for Vrinda. Would she be alright?
Yug walks down the corridor and the two see the doctor speaking to Bharti and Teji about Vrinda's condition.
Teji: Ab mere behen kaise hai? Please doctor bring her back to her senses.
Doctor: She is in a coma my friend. Her condition is right now very critical. She can either live or die. If she lives, she can come out of her coma in just a few minutes, a few days, a few months or maybe years and years. No one can tell what will happen now. We have tried our best.
Teji: Can I see her please?
Doctor: Yes yes you all can. Just don't make really loud noise and speak to her softly. She will hear you, but cannot respond.
The doctor spots Yug.
Doctor: Ahh Mr. Yug I knew you would find your way here. How are you feeling now?
Yug: I am fine doctor, but I want to see Vrinda.
Doctor: Yes son go inside. While we were doing the operation, Vrinda kept muttering only one name- Yug.
Everyone, especially Yug were surprised at this. Why hadn't Vrinda spoken of Rajbeer- after all he is her husband and she has spent 5 years with him. But right now Yug did not spend time thinking of the reason behind Vrinda's act; he was only worried of her condition.
Scene 12 (Vrinda's room)
Everyone is inside looking at Vrinda and trying to wake her up. Yug looks at Vrinda's charming face, resting peacefully on the bed; her eyes are tight shut so he could no longer see them shining like stars. Her expression is plain. How Yug wished Vrinda would open her eyes- he no longer cared if her eyes reflected Rajbeer's face- he no longer cared if Vrinda would love Rajbeer all her life and hate him for causing her husband's death. All he wanted was Vrinda to wake from her deep slumber. He had to get Vrinda out of this, he cannot let her leave the world like this.
Yug: (taking Vrinda's hand in his. Everyone except Bharti were shocked at this, however, chose to remain quiet because of the circumstance) Vrinda mein jaanta hoon I am a very bad person. Maine tumhe bhale hee pehele kushiaan dedi ho, leken tumhari shaadi ke baad maine tumhe bahaut tang kara hai. Baar baar chale ajaata tha tumhare paas; itna bhi nahi sochke ke agar kisine dekh liya to tumhare character per 100 sawaal uthenge. I had turned very selfish. I failed to see Rajbeer's love for you and the way he tried to unite us, I failed to see your duty. All I could see then, was our love- MY love. Now I have realized that you truly love Rajbeer's and I was wrong. Mujhe maaf kardo Vrinda. If you cannot forgive me then don't- but at least don't given pain to your family. Wake up- if only for their sake. Jaag jaao Vrinda; mein tumse bahaut pyaar kartaa hoon, bahaut.
Suddenly Vrinda's finger's start shaking inside Yug's tight grip. Her pulse starts increasing. Everyone gets shocked. Teji immediately brings the doctor inside, who tells everyone to step outside while the gets Vrinda in a stable condition.
Waiting outside is terrible for Yug; he keeps thinking if his words have further spoiled Vrinda's health. Fortunately, the doctor comes back and tells them Vrinda is no longer critical or in coma.
Doctor: Iknew love will heal what medical science cannot. Mr. Yug, my friend, your's and Ms. Vrinda's heavenly love has shown this magic. Go inside and see the face of your beloved.
Everyone knew the doctor had misinterpreted things; he had thought Yug and Vrinda were going to get married, and Rajbeer was just a friend. Thinking at the moment Vrinda was more important, they all rush inside, ignoring the doctor's misinterpretation.
Yug, still filled with guilt, went on to stand in the corner of the room. As long as he can see Vrinda is ok, he is happy. He knows Vrinda is going to have a hard time from Rajbeer's death but he also knows that if her love for him is true, she will live happily by keeping Rajbeer in her heart and carrying his name in her name.
Vrinda opens her eyes widely as Teji leans down to talk to her.
Teji: Vrinda, ab kaise tabyat hai teri? Tu jaldi theek hojaa.
Vrinda continues staring at her brother and looks around at the crowd of people surrounding her.
Teji: Don't worry Vrinda, just relax. DB will be here with everyone in a few hours. You are not in this alone.
Before Teji could speak any further about Rajbeer, Vrinda gets up weakly and squints her eyes.
Vrinda: DB? Who is he? And who are you all?
Everyone in the family, especially Yug, are shocked.
