Damn you cvs

It's star plus's decision to end the show, but I blame the cvs for destroying our beautiful show... if only cvs had stuck to the original concept of orthodox vs modern age thinking, which had so much potential.

The show was sold to us as the sequel to DABH, if tsmsp had stuck to its original concept, them it would have definitely justified the DABH brand, by showing Kanak transforming the Toshniwals way of thinking and bringing a nayyi such into the Toshniwal house and the rest of Ladnun.
For some reason Instead of sticking to this concept cvs decided to change the direction of the show by giving maasisa a personality transplant and also provide us with an overnight personality transplant for Uma, completely changing his outlook & behaviour overnight.

Even if we digested and accepted these sudden changes there was no time to enjoy kanum and any family drama as the MM track landed on us, which did nothing more than complicate & taint the original simple love story, which was full of innocence & purity.

When I look back at previous episodes the quality was phenomenal, there was so much time given to each character. Uma's character was so unique with his stern exterior but soft and caring nature. His love and responsibility towards Kanak & his family was a treat to watch

But cvs messed with the concept to such an extent that I think there was no going back, they have now introduced a repetitive track and it feels as though the show has ran out of ideas. After watching tsmsp since day one and sticking by it all this time, I am majorly disappointed with cvs and blame them for the fact that soon we will never get to see Uma Shankar' again

Sorry if I have offended anyone with my post I am just so full of anger and disappointment, no other show has impacted me as much as tsmsp so I feel genuinely hurt by cvs actions

You are right Meera. Cvs did stray from the main concepts of the show and that was a huge mistake that caused trps to become so low. Although, I'd say they did that only with the MM track; before that, it was Kanak trying to bring nayi soch into Uma's life by making him see that he's been blindfolded by a belief structure created by maasisa just to control him, a selfish manipulation of religion. The Bangkok track was a treat, for the actors as much as us, because for the first time KanUm worked together on something then after having achieved full understanding of each other. And the after the Bangkok track, Uma doubting that he is not worth Kanak because he is backwards and cannot survive on his own in this world,and him wanting to be able to be someone, have an identity that can stand shoulder against shoulder with the society, that was brilliant! If only they had focused on Uma trying to build a different personality, and then realising that there is nothing wrong with his and that he doesnt need to completely change himself for Kanak to love him... Umas character was a brilliant one, i just dont have the words for him, he has so many indescribable qualities that most men lack, and him focusing on and finding a perfect balance- with him giving Kanak some of his own traits as well, I might sound dreamy but no matter that would be beautiful. But the MM track and separation messed everything up.. at that moment it became a deception of the DABH concept... in DABH Sooraj and Sandhya never had this much misunderstandings between them... the speciality of DABH was that the leads stayed togetehr at every moment. But at that moment CVs made the show mega cliche and it didnt even work for them, and I am disappointed at that too. if they hadnt brought that track things wouldve been different now and maybe our show would have been safe... anyhow, whats the use now of contemplating as such...

CVs are trying to redeem it by giving current well meaninged tracks but it is a bit late and its a shame if we are unable to save it now.

Still, Cant forget the channels fault... because the Cvs could redeem their mistake well if they had more time, just a little more time even. its a mega shame, and unless DABH season 3 ever becomes a reality I wont be watching star plus at all. Its sad whats happened to this channel as well...

Bang on, could not agree with you guys more! As much as I am furious with Star plus, I can't help but think that the production house and cv's are to be blamed as well. These are the points were I feel the production house failed:

1) Promoting the show, initially they did a good job of this but after awhile it's like they just stopped giving promos, Shashi Summet was promoting all there other shows so why not this one, which In fact was giving good trps, constantly in the top ten.

2) They lost the overall look and feel of the show, initially the rich Rajasthani culture was beautifully shown but overtime they lost that aspect of the show, I realize that they needed to show modernization and all but Inthink was done too fast too soon. All the other star plus shows were shown very urban and modern, tsmsp had a certain old world charm that probably could have worked in their favor had they not tried to modernize it so much.

3) The use of the supporting cast, they have a great supporting cast, so instead of just concentrating on the villain they could have put some more emphasis on the side stories as well which they did not do. Initially they were doing a good job but again after awhile they started lagging in the supporting cast storyline.

4) Last but not least, the dreadful Meera Mittal track. I'm almost convinced now that this track had a enormous role in getting Tsmsp off air, with this track the cv's diverted so much from the original story that there was no way it was going to work let alone fetch trp's. Thus creating a mess so big that was not going to be easy to fix.

I could probably go on and on but I will stop now, these are my personal opinions and I hope I didn't offend anyone.

Shashi Summet productions currently has four shows running, three of which are going off air, does that say something, out of the four Tsmsp was doing significantly well, no actually very well so why didn't they put more effort into our show?

i blame the cvs too but to be honest star plus don't care about tsmsp this is the truth we are slot leader and in top on UK trp yet they didn't spare us every show we have good and bad track look at TU in colors they was 2.00 and now 0.9 but colors still give promo to the show and support them send them abroad that's why colors is better than star shit..they give the show chance they want slot leader by any cost and star plus we give them good trp but nope they want to end us for a reality show so i blame the channel more than cvs if they want our show to survive they can wait after IPL and give us a chance all tv show influenced by ipl at least one month we don't deserve that!!! they don't have any respect for us!!!! like we are nothing and our feelings are nothing agree with you the cvs was stupid and ruin our show but now we back on track awesome track but no if they give us just one promo all people will back to watch without any promo we are slot leader and not bad trp look at colors 0.9 0.8 shows still on air and star plus partial channel i hate them to the core i will never forgive them i swear i don't eat oe sleep well i'm in pain and cry i can't tolerate this i feel sorry for avinesg and rhea and anand i will never watch star plus i swear by god at least they can give us good end with kanum love or give us season 3 with kanum again but no i hate them so much

Our show might have been doing better if it had started at the 7 pm slot from the beginning. It was harder to catch viewers midstream and then the cvs bowed to trp pressure and started the far fetched crime stories. Expectations were perhaps high due to it being the DABH sequel. Daily soaps are killers for all concerned. The best thing for the cast & crew and the cvs would be those series that air once a week. They could all be 1 hour episodes with a well developed story line. The actors can work decent hours and cvs can churn out better stuff. Starplus could have tried that first with their popular shows like naamkaran and TSMSP before giving up all together.

honestly the show was so good and going in right direction when it was at afternoon slot, after that the focus started shifting towards bhabho more thinking it will attract old dabh viewers but they forgot in dabh she was the mil of FL so here kanum n kanak's sasural should be given more importance ... with that they started compromising with the track of kanak n her sasural and kanum which had so much potential for high trps n running the show for years, they shifted two of the toshinwal characters saras n payal to rathis so soon so that bhabho gets a pivot role n doesn't quit the show(which actually would have been a blessing in disguise for tsmsp n kanum)thereby emptying kanak's sasural n at some point they completely destroyed kanak's life at sasural by changing nanda's character n all that hullabaloo that followed gave them high trps but short lived since show the came to a standstill with the main story almost over and then they forced kanum separation so that kanak returns to her house n bhabho gets good screen time n kept on stretching it with mm n akki nonsense...on the whole imo the tsmsp was ruined due to the idea of keeping bhabho at the centre stage always...n not to forget sometimes too much feminism from the fans (expecting uma to be carbon copy of sooraj when the show started) also destroys the original story n forces cvs to deviate from it ending up messing with the whole show...whatever, feeling bad on tsmsp ending :(...
