Kanak shook her head and looked away
Uma leant in and picked her up, throwing her over his shoulder
"Ow, you hit my head" she shouted, thumping his back
"Oi, you over there help me, hes kidnapping me"
Uma walked in faster, slamming the door he put her down and Kanak tried to talk
Uma put his hand over her mouth
"Not another word" he ordered
Kanak smiled, poking her tounge out she licked his hand and he moved it away quickly, wiping it on his trousers
She giggled as he looked back over and then stopped as his gaze hardened
"Im sorry, im sorry" she said grabbing her ears
Then scrunching up her nose she let go
"Did you know you cant feel your ears unless you hold them" she looked so proud of herself and Uma almost wanted to laugh but didnt
"Go to your room now"
Kanak crossed her arms, looking more like a stern teacher ready to berate him
"You cant tell me what to do, you're not my boss"
"No, but I am your husband "
Kanak rested a hand on her hip and pointed her index finger toward him, shaking it "Youre only my husband for convenience isnt that what you said, only when we are outdoors not in here"
Uma frowned as her eyes pooled with tears
"Sometimes youre really mean, you forget that I left all I know for you"
"Im sorry, I'm an idiot sometimes" he said, wiping away her tears with the pad of his thumb
"Its okay, ill forgive you"
She smiled and walked over to Uma's room
"Cant I stay with you tonight"
"Why cant you sleep in your own room" he asked
"I can, but ill forgive you if you let me sleep with you"
Uma nodded and waited for Kanak to go and change
Uma looked up when he heard a bang
"Are you okay" he asked, banging on the door
"Yeah I just may have accidentaly broke something"
Uma rolled his eyes as she pulled open the door and then jumped on his bed
"Its soft"
She waited for Uma to change in the bathroom then patted the space next to her
"No, its okay ill sleep on the sofa"
Kanak shook her head "That wasnt part of the deal"
Uma sat down next to her and Kanak smiled, she lifted his hand and pushed her hand against his
"You have big hands"
"Maybe you just have small hands" he suggested
Kanak smiled and nodded
Uma's phone buzzed as Meera called
Kanak eyed his phone and wrapped her hands around his throat
"If you pick up, ill kill you" she threatened
Uma raised his hands
"Im not answering dont worry"
Kanak sighed in relief and led back, pulling Uma with her, she snuggled up to his arm and closed her eyes
"Night Uma"
"Night Kanak" he whispered back, he led stiff, not used to being in such an intimate position with someone
Kanak sighed and turned over, her hair fell onto her face
Uma lifted his hand and moved it away slowly
Then he relaxed and closed his eyes

Kanak woke up, her head hurt, she sat up slowly and the nights happenings returned to her
With a pained groan she stood up and grabbed her phone
'Call me when you wake up'
Kanak sighed and called Palomi after getting dressed and cleaning her teeth
"Hello Palomi"
"Girl" she squealed and Kanak sighed
"Please, my head is spinning"
"You were great last night, bet you got my jeth ji wrapped around your little finger"
Kanak rested her head in her hands "I am so embarassed, I think he went to work so its okay for now, he is going to hate me"
"He wont, youve got his attention, im telling you he enjoyed last night just as much as you, if not more"
Kanak heard the door open and stilled "I gotta go, I think hes home bye"
Kanak stood up as Uma walked in the room
"Hows your head"
Kanak looked down "Yeah its okay, sorry about last night"
When Kanak heard no reply she looked up to see Uma looking at her profoundly
"Kanak, do you remember what happened last night"
"Uh yeah"
Uma shook his head "And youre apologising"
Kanak frowned "Well I embarassed you at a work party"
Uma stood closer and rested his hands on her shoulders
"Last night we" he waited for her to get it and her eyes widened
"Youre lying"
Uma shook his head
She gasped and stepped back
"Oh I, I" she looked down then looked back up
"Im so sorry"
Uma laughed "Im pulling your leg, dont look so disgusted, it hurts my ego"
Kanak stammered then blinked fast
"Oh, okay" she wondered why he was so cheerful
"Why are you so cheerful"
Uma smiled "Youre great company Kanak, you really cheered me up"
"Oh, thats great"
Kanak couldnt believe Palomi was right, maybe she should listen to her more often, she had of course managed to charm Aditya who was formerly just like Uma
She wanted to test her theory and had the perfect plan

Kanak had heard from Palomi that attraction was so important at the start of the relationship, and while she was quite sure Uma was attracted to her she wasn't entirely sure and needed to prove that he was before she tried to further this relationship with him. Kanak looked over at Uma who was sat in his home office working on something, she had a plan of course but she was nervous because he didn't seem like the kind of man who wished to be distracted while working, she considered waiting till after but even she knew that was just another excuse and excuses didn't get her anywhere.
Uma looked up when he heard a knock on the door, he lifted his hand and beckoned Kanak in. Kanak placed his black coffee down infront of him, he thanked her and then continued to work. He looked up slowly when he realised she still had not left "Did you want something? Crossing her fingers behind her back she pushed his seat back and sat on his lap. "What are you, Kanak interrupted him mid-sentence by putting a finger on his lips, he raised an eyebrow inquisitively, smirking down at her brazen behaviour, this for sure did not seem like the shy, timid Kanak he knew.
"You've worked to hard today, just relax Uma gritted his teeth, it wasn't easy to relax when human contact like this was so foreign to him, but the way her nails scratched against his scalp as she massaged his head was to comforting to ignore, he leaned his head back, closing his eyes. Kanak brought her other hand up, resting it on his stubble, she traced his cheek with her thumb, his hooded eyes shot open
Kanak led her head back against his shoulder and brought her feet up, resting them on his thigh, her hand massaged his other shoulder, and he rested his hand on her hip after shutting his laptop screen down. She leaned her head up and kissed just underneath his ear, he turned to look at her and ran his index finger across her bottom lip "What are you trying to do Kanak he asked, his voice rough
"Im trying to make you feel comfortable is all she smiled sweetly, he didn't believe her for a second, but having her so close just felt to good and he didn't want her to go, so ensuring she would stay, he closed his eyes, faking sleep and gripped her waist, tugging her impossibly closer. She looked up at his face and smiled, her plan had worked that was for sure, but what would happen next, neither of them could know, so for now she would just relax and bask in this rare moment.
A few hours later Kanak jumped up when she heard knocking on the door, she walked toward it sleepily and looked through the peephole, rolling her eyes when Meera's face came into view. She pulled the door open and Meera shoved past her "Uma, we need to talk she shouted. Uma walked into the hallway, his hair messily sticking up, his fingers massaging his head "What Meera, why didn't you just call? Meera scowled, "I did, several times, you didn't answer
"I was asleep, what was so urgent that you had to come all the way to my house Uma asked, anger coursing through his veins. Meera smiled a coy smile "That merger we are trying to arrange, turns out the family who have been issuing us so much hassle is your wife's uncle. Kanak's eyes widened "And what does that have to do with me?
Meera crossed her arms "Well you see Uma, your wife has been cheating you from the very start. Uma looked over at Kanak "Is this true? he asked, Kanak shook her head, walking back over to Uma, "I would never do that to you, please believe me she grabbed his arms, he looked down at her unsure of what to think, yes she was his wife and the last thing he wanted was to question her, but he had been business partners with Meera for years, so why would she lie?
"What proof have you got that Kanak is involved in this. Meera huffed heavily "Is the fact that her uncle is behind this not enough to prove she is in on it. Uma looked back at a teary eyed Kanak "If you can prove she has done this, I will believe you, but for now you have no evidence, so get out of my house and don't ever walk in here making false accusations again unless you can solidify it He slammed the door in Meera's face and as he turned around, Kanak ran into his arms, her arms tight around his waist as she cried
Hello all, I hope you're still reading this and I am so sorry for not updating in so long, I had some personal issues, anyway I am getting back to normal and I'm hoping all these updates mean I have come back with a bang.
I'm not sure if because ive been away for so long my writing has got worse or better so you will have to let me know, anyway I hope youre all well and I have missed you all so much!
